Ling and Ablett

i tell you what shits me - every report on tv starts with "freo hard man solomon".....har dman my f*$@n a@s. whats hard about sniping after the play? nothing. its like glassing a bloke in the back of the head - weak as p*ss. Ling will be out for 4-6 weeks. solomon's weak apology meansd jack - lowest point in his career? pre-meditated thuggery means he can take his apology and shove it.....ling should sue him for his missed matched payments......

I'm going to try and be a bit more circumspect than the above. I admired soloman at the bombers but I can't help but feel he has disgraced himself since going to the dockers. I don't get what is wrong with that club that the players think this is how to win a game. I'm sure Pavlich (who seems to be a fair player) must shake his head at times and wonder why he still plays for them. I hope above all else the Fremantle decision makers clean out the cancer in their list and return to playing football.

I feel for lingy because this is no way to miss out on an important part of the season, a dog act off the ball will cost him and our club in the 2 most important H&A games of the year. I only hope we will see him back before too long so he can run into some form going into the finals.

Here's the solution!
  • Get Rid Of Mark Harvey
  • Get Rid Of Dean Soloman
  • Get Rid Of Jeff Farmer
  • Get Rid Of Ryan Crowley
  • Get Rid Of Josh Carr
All of them are w*nkers or sniping *****
then finally they might return to playing footy

Solomon can stick his "apology" up his arse. He has been a thug for years, will continue to be, lets kill this crap from our game. Finish this prick and lets just hope we dont lose a flag coz some insecure thug wants to prove how big his willy is.

Trust this to happen when the next two games are piped up to be the biggest and the most anticipated of the home and away season. After today and all the other incidents you can't help but hate stupid Fremantle. Do you think we will see counselling imposed on Dean Solomon (like Barry Hall) ?.

Unlike Hall, Solomon is not worth attempting to counsel and wasting time with if you are Freo. Just #### the filthy moron off!

LING GOES UNDER THE KNIFE

Saturday, July 12th, 2008 at 11:00 pm
BY STEPHEN BAKER
GEELONG midfield star Cameron Ling has tonight undergone surgery for a depressed fracture of the cheekbone.
Ling was struck by Fremantle’s Dean Solomon with an elbow to the head in the opening quarter of today’s spiteful encounter between the two sides at Skilled Stadium.
Geelong went on to pound an ill-disciplined Dockers unit to tune of 74 points.
A statement released by the Cats said that that once the surgery is completed, Geelong medical staf and surgeons would bet able to better assess the length of Ling’s stint on the sideline.

Should be 10 or more games plus loading for his past record. Deliberate, head high, maximum impact. You can clearly see he loaded up on the elbow, left his feet to deliver the blow head high and unloaded as hard as he could.

He has only 30-odd points hanging over him. I'd say 4-6 weeks will be the decision.

Ablett suffered an inversion injury to the ankle, which is fairly good. The other way (eversion) would have been worse, as that's how about 90% of ankle fractures occur (learnt this from own experience).

Dependant on how bad the swelling is, I would assume that could be anything between 1-3 weeks. He could put pressure on it, albeit tenderly. So I'd say it isn't all that bad, but should definitely miss this week.

If Ling is having surgery, I'd say he'd be out for at least 2 weeks. Another knock to that region of the head could be quite bad for him. So they will hopefull pop out the depressed cheekbone, then insert a small plate (if required). That should speed up the recovery process.

Maybe we could see him early with a facemask like RIP Hamilton in the NBA? That would be funny.

Interesting who could come in for these two, possibly Pris will get another run. Anyone know how he went in the two's?

Errr Johnson too? He was totally useless yesterday. Why Freo just don't cull those who underperform and totally start again is frustrating, even for non-supporters.

i thought Prissa was pretty good yesterday. he got a lot of it and seemed to be in everything. Definately front runner for a return.

Or John Terry in the EPL for Chelsea

Great news that junior has been cleared of any bone damage and may only miss the one game

GEELONG WON’T RISK TOP CAT

GEELONG’S Gary Ablett is unlikely to line up against the Western Bulldogs in Saturday’s top-of-the-table clash.
Scans yesterday cleared Ablett of bone damage to his right ankle but the Cats are not expected to risk the Brownlow Medal favourite, regardless of the opposition.
“It’s a little bit sore. We’ll always leave the door open, so we’ll see how we go,” Ablett said after arriving at the club for treatment yesterday on crutches.
Geelong football manager Neil Balme said Ablett would undergo extensive treatment but the club was not willing to take any risks.
“If I was betting on the Brownlow, I’d reckon he wouldn’t play this week,” Balme said yesterday.

In fact, why not get rid of everyone except Pav, Rhys Palmer and maybe that Gerrick Ibbotson guy because they're the only three who can call themselves footballers.

Just then on the news it said:
- Ablett definitely out
- Ling could be back as early as the Hawthorn game

it was CN10

so........ you never know they also said Gaz wont get up 4 the hawks game, i doubt that very much, even bomber said he was a outside chance this week.

Sorry you guys had to lose Ling due to such a nasty incident, will still be backing you to beat the dogs without both him and Ablett, however.

After the whole Egan and Ottens situation, I never trust anything Bomber has to say about injuries :P We will see when we see.
