All these moves will remove the trash and grant us some good draft picks. Playing the kids and getting a new hard ass coach is a must also, as it will get us more higher picks.

Another medicore 9th finish will do nothing for us, make us suffer for more years to come.

So you disagree with those decisions, which is why we remain crap.

Err, I have nothing to do with how we play etc. Why is it my fault?

I disagree on Foley, he normally has average - okay foot skills and he is an inside midfielder. I understand why you have said Richo - delist: Poor kick for goal and is 34 so won't be apart of the future but he tries hard and is one of our best players so let him play until he retires.

For the rest of them I don't disagree on, bunch of hacks.

Hey Tp can you give us a possible side with what you haven't traded or delisted ?
There lies the problem, remove the shit which gets us to 9th and get some good shit in draft picks that leads to a premiership. Foley is a surplus workman like mid who we could get a better player for if traded.

I'd trade/delist Newman instead of Foley. Foley can be the next Paul Kelly. Lids or Foley should be captain.

Tambling deserves a chance under our next coach. Hackson should be delisted or traded if anyone wants him.

In reality though, only Lids , Cotchin and Foley are untouchable.

drafting has been terrible and not much has works. they just keep adding crap to the list and thats why they havent moved ahead. get some proper kids and then they can start moving ahead. out of the past 5 years they have only got 5-7 decent ones.

Teams wont trade high picks (especially this year) so we wont get much for any of the 16 players u want to clear out. Also Melb + WCE wont win more than 4 games each this year so the top 4 picks are allready gone. We really had to clear Bowden, Johnson and Pettifer last year and bring in some young kids. Now its too late.

Not a lot I disagree with but I wouldn't trade Foley. I'd also keep Richardson and Cousins for one more year. Need to sell merchandise somehow.

Does anyone remember Wallaces first season? We played with passion and agression and were set for the top 4 with Browny fireing. Brown went down and we went to the shit with a far worse list than we have now. We are capable but have to slash the list like I have said.... then get hardwick.

We must tank this year....

Beave are ****ing insane!?!? You know very well you can't turnover 13 players in one year. I don't care if you think they're shit it's just not practical and is completely detrimental to the club.

I'd be looking at a minimum 9 players off though easy. Delist Polak, Johnson, Pettifer, Brown, Simmonds, Pattison, Graham, Schulz, King with Bowden, Silvestor off the vets/rookie list. That's 11 players easily doable. How you ask? The draft isn't that deep??? Oh my god the sky is falling!!!!

Upgrade Nahas and Browne. That is 7 spots we need to find. Use 6 picks in the national draft and one PSD pick. We may also have a ruffie father son up our sleeve so if no-one bids for him I'd off Jackson too. I'd also be trying my hardest to trade for more picks using Edwards, McMahon and Tambling. Use one of them to secure Mark Seaby from West Coast as a stop gap while Putt/Vickery/Browne develop. Potentially 14-15 players off the list in one year.

Oh I forgot about JON. Let's finish the season with an extra draft pick and he can make way. So up to 16 players.

2009 Playing List as at 31/10/2008:
1. Chris Newman
2. Will Thursfield Trade(surplus Defender) yeah, lets trade him now when he has absolutely no value (draft picks are being overvalued + he is out of form). I would back Will and try to get a 1st round pick from Gold Coast for McGuane.
3. Brett Deledio (DVC)
4. Andrew Raines Trade not worth a dime right now, perceived as highly injury prone. let him recapture some form this year and next THEN think about trading him.
5. Troy Simmonds Delist do you really think graham/browne/patto can compete with other ruck divisions? Had a good year last year and deserves a bit more time
6. Graham Polak Delist if he physically recovers, he is an above average tall player with excellent marking ability
7. Nathan Brown Delist his form is erratic, but that being said his absolute worst is still better than about 30 of our listed players. When he is on fire, he is our best player...would be insane to delist him.
8. Jack Riewoldt
9. Trent Cotchin
10. Shane Edwards Delist or Trade Once again, you want to sell him when is at his lowest value? Your nuts.
11. Joel Bowden Delist Agree
12. Matthew Richardson Delist He is no longer hindering the development of our tall forwards so what is the issue here? As long as he is fit and playing well, why would you delist our best player? Age is not a good enough reason...richo at 34 is fitter, faster, stronger and better than richo at 24
13. Jordan McMahon Delist Deserves to be the whipping boy after his shizen start to the year...but we should not pass judgement till the end of the year because at his best he is easily in our 22, and we have too few players in the peak age range that he is in.
14. Dean Polo
15. Kayne Pettifer Delist or Trade DELIST, if we offered him for trade other clubs would just laugh. Except maybe freemantle.
16. Luke McGuane
17. Chris Newman (C)
18. Alex Rance
19. Dean Putt
20. Mitch Morton
21. Shane Tuck
22. Jarrad Oakley-Nicholls Delist
23. Daniel Jackson
24. Mark Coughlan
25. Jay Schulz Delist or Trade Keep. He has a crack, just needs better delivery up forward and a permanent role.
26. Adam Pattison
27. Tom Hislop
28. Kane Johnson Delist Agree
29. Tyrone Vickery
30. Richard Tambling Delist or Trade See thursfield and edwards. Someone needs to seriously build this guys confidence back up. He has all the tools: pace, skill, an eye for the goals and he is physically developed enough now. He just needs a mentor who believes in him and a few games in the backline where he can at least get his hands on the pill.
31. Adam Thomson
34. Cleve Hughes
35. Matthew White Trade
36. Jarrod Silvestor(R) Delist Agree
37. Andrew Browne
39. Daniel Connors
40. Kelvin Moore (DVC)
41. Nathan Foley(VC) Trade (poor footskills could get 1st round pick) He is our best trainer, the only guy who gives 100% every game and our future captain. With Cousins, Cotchin and Coughlan back he will really thrive without the pressure. I wouldn't trade him for anything less than 2 first round picks, 1 early and 1 late.
42. Andrew Collins
43. Ben Cousins
44. Angus Graham
46. Jake King Delist or Trade Agree

There lies the problem, remove the shit which gets us to 9th and get some good shit in draft picks that leads to a premiership. Foley is a surplus workman like mid who we could get a better player for if traded.

Most of your post makes sense TP - however Foley is almost untouchable. He is a massive part of the future of this club. His work ethic and professionalism is second to none. He is a model clubman, trains the house down. So what he is a poor man's Gary Ablett jnr. He may not have the polish but he works tirelessly, takes the game on, generally makes good decesions and is still improving. He is the VC but is almost a co-captain as he is often the spokesperson of the club.

Also delisting Richo is rediculous. He is the heart and soul of the club and although his finishing often drive me nuts he has so many runs on the board that it must be up to him to decide when to pull the pin. He will know when it's time.

For me I would think that the list managers should be given some golden rules.

1. Draft players who can make good decisions
2. Draft players who can use the ball well
3. Draft players who really really want to make it
4. Don't trade picks out of the club.
5. Get your act together before you ruin the careers of Cotchin, Foley, Deledio, Riewoldt, Morton, Rance etc.

Oh and if we finish with less than 4.5 wins then we can afford to off another player, but I probably would leave it at that for the moment.
Theres our problems solved. If we go shit this year we could get one extra quality 1st rounder mid which we lack.

Your post is absolute crap, and it would mean we maintain our shitful performances. Change needs to occur. To even hint trading maguane is a disgrace, he is that good now.

Foley is the only bit I could agree on, and maybe keeping thursfield and trading Moore, who will only get older.
