if this guy still has his pace off the mark, watch out afl.i rate him as your best player atm. and as far as proof he is your only "elite" player. getting a bit old but the beef his packed on you'd be hoping for 60-85

Hird and Fletcher Id regard well up there also in our side. Getting on but a walk up start in any side over the past 20 years.

both has beens good players but careers are over. lloyd = only elite player at essendon

No offence, but Id seek a second opinion on that one. They would both be preferred over 99% of your team at the minute. The exceptions being a player who cant keep his weight down and other thug who kicks goals, yet throws his weight around.

Why do heaps of people think anyone over 28 in league footy is old?

You could name dozens of champions from the old days who played well passed 28 and still had the goods.Champion goods.

Even the last 10-15 years,think of older players who still have what it takes to play elite footy.

Lockett,Jarman,Robert Harvey,Hird,Buckley,Voss,Archer,Kouta,Scott West,Mark R (Crows),Roos,Clement,Chick....heaps of em.


Lloyd has just come off 12 full months of rest and repair.He will destroy all backman who try to stop him ( we're pretty sure thats what he'll do:) )

It's just a trend idiots are going through these days. Like if Essendon uses the PSD we're "topping up" or teams "must" wollow for top picks for 5 years straight before they can become any good again, a lot of people live by these rules for some reason, once a player hits the magical 30 he's gone :rolleyes:

It is very bad manners to go to another team's board and write nasty things about their players, especially a great one, particularly when there is no factual evidence to support unsubstantiated allegations.
