Are we good enough yet to trade all our picks and next years pick for a flag tilt? Realistically, any drafted players will not be developed enough to assist our flag tilt in the next 2-4 years if they are a KPP. It must be a consideration with GWS and GC peaking soon.
Lets do a hypothetical:
Trade 1st round pick plus excess KPP (i.e. Astbury) for Motlop
Trade 2nd round pick for Yarran
Trade 2016 1st round pick for Carlisle
Acquire Patrick Dangerfield as a free agent.
Would this be enough for a flag? or would we need a gun Ruck on top of this?
Should we go deep into the draft right through and load up later on?
We would get speed & X-Factor which we lack combined with more scoring power (also a weakness as a defensive team). We would also kick out Chaplin for someone who can compete back one on one or have flexibility to sub out a Vickery or Griffiths if they spud it up and swing him forward.
