SEN just reported....
prismall wants 2 leave geelong
hamish mcintosh will get traded if the right deal comes up
n hawthorn seriously want ROK
so nothin bout seaby...

Aside from the fact I dont really like the trade, we dont have list space for these 2. It doesnt really add up.

I'm not a huge fan of Polo. He's OK but not what we need. We have enough guys like him.

I didnt mind Casserly when he was a junior. Obviously havent seen his VFL form. I would have thought he'd be more likely to be delisted and rookied by us.

polo, when given a fair chance will play 150 games of afl.

187cm but plays taller, elite endurance and a happy knack of getting the ball, and keeping his opponent quiet.

Would hate to lose him, wallets obviously doesnt like him.

Seaby... meh:thumbsdown:

So day 1. of Trade Week closed today at 2pm yet an 1 hour 45 mins later there is a report of a deal about to be going through ??

Sorry if I'm a little sceptical about this one ............
The 16 clubs getting together at TD was due to end around 2pm, radio has been saying clubs have been continuing meetings seeing they only get 15 minutes for their original get together. Wouldn't surprise me if a deal was done this afternoon but we wouldn't hear anything about it until tomorrow morning at the earliest.

Hmmm. ok. I was listening to 5aa. So I'm going by what they said. Also mention that hawthorn is keen on ROK but believe hawthorn first pick is too high and will need to try and get a lower pick from another club. So expect them to trade 1 or possible 2 players.
Prsmall wants to leave but also doesn't want to go interstate.
They didn't say anything about H.McIntosh.

I wonder if 5AA read bigfooty because it was floated on the WC board that Polo and Casserly might be involved in a deal.

If Casserley could ever get on the park he could be ok and would be suited on the big ground at Subi, but he always seems to be injured. As for Polo, an average ruckman has a lot more value to us than an average midfielder who the coach doesnt like, so if we can do it for a swap of 3rd and 4th rounders its a good deal. I would much rather keep Meyer on our list than Polo and Casserley and we cant really keep them all.

This is the one I would be going after before Seaby.

Of course McIntosh is a better player than Seaby but he would cost our first rounder, if we keep our first rounder we can draft a good midfielder or Vickery (if still available). If we can get Seaby and keep our second rounder it would be great.

So would I.
Depends on what North Melbourne want for him.

Good point, lets find out.

If we traded Polo and Cass for Seaby we lose and really lose if we swaped picks as IMO Seaby is not much better than what we already have.

Casserly is a very hard at the ball player with good skills who if he has an injury free run will be in Richmonds top 22. Give him a good Pre-season.

Understand why Wosha would like him as he reminds me of him - is almost a clone

Trent Casserly -In his second year at the club, the West Australian youngster was again forced to spend his time at Coburg and in the medical room, with a hamstring injury ruining the middle part of his season. The budding midfielder showed impressive form at VFL level, enjoying a good finals series. Will be looking to make his AFL debut in 2008.
Draft history: 2005 NAB AFL Draft 3rd round selection (Richmond) No. 40 overall.

Could be another trip to Germany ?????

1. The name's Travis
2. He's been at the club 3 years (drafted in 2005)
3. 2008 season has just finished and he didn't debut.

Like i've said before i'm all for getting Seaby. I'm happy to give up Casserley since he's been plagued by injury. Not Polo. Polo will turn into a very good player if given an opportunity. So Cass and something else for seaby. or a straight swap for our 2nd rounder

How about:

Seaby + 36/52

for

Polo + 26

I dont think picks will be involved.

Seaby for Polo and Casserly is my bet.

Tigers fans not happy about Polo being traded, he is expendable.

Seaby will be our first choice ruckmen.

Its a good trade, for both teams.

Personally I reckon we can do better out of a Seaby trade than taking a couple of players Richmond don't particularly want and we don't particularly need.

Plus we don't have room on the list to take TWO players for Seaby.

We seldom trade players for players - I expect and hope we would be looking for a draft pick for Seaby.

A straight pick 26 for Seaby would probably be fair enough - we may throw in pick 52 as well because it is unlikely we will use it.
