My own answer yesterday was option 2. Now, today, it is even moreso option 2.

It's not a trick question designed to try and annoy some of you guys who really unloaded on the club last week - as that was all very understandable, given the circumstances and general expectations.

The perspective side of things works both way in our case. That's what makes this season so hard to take. However, I think I'll put you down for option 2 as well, given you used "we" instead of "you" in your reply.
