Talked about his injury, how he is travelling. He said he is starting to walk laps at training slow but steady. Seemed to be upbeat about it joking a bit. He also said the youngsters are really starting to show their good's. Said he expects Neagle/Johns to get a game soon. About all that was said short interview

Seemed in good spirits (though he always is) and only had a small bandage on his knee.

Was walking okay with no noticeable limp.

With the two bye weekends he may only miss 8 Essendon matches.

We don't play Mother's Day weekend, between Round 7 and 8.

And we don't play the first week in July, between 14 and 15 (I think this is the All Star v Vic game weekend).

We'd be hoping he's back before the second bye.

The AFLPA basically said that the players would only put up their hand to play in the rep game if they got a week off in the season. Hence the two bye weekends.
