Yeah thanks, and the irony was that Whelan hit Ball, but Whelan was the one who was too injured to return!

X was very good but Kosi a standout? He played at about 40% capacity, took some decent marks but didn't get much of it apart from that. Gehrig, on the other hand, was everywhere and the key to the win.

As for Bally, also at about 50% capacity but that's just because he's such a good player, so much more in him around the ground.

not really goin to praise bally that much for what he did, sure it was great but i've come to expect that of him now, very happy with fizz and x tho

yeah gehrig was great, probably BOG

but in terms of good signs going forward for the saints seeing kosi running around taking pack marks would have been the best thing saints fans took away from the game IMO, if he stands up he could be anything

X. Clarke adds run and flair which the saints needed IMO, another very important player in terms of the saints improving towards a premiership

both played well in first up games which was good

Also liked the look of Lenny and Goose (Maguire) - who were both returning from terrible injuries, both held up really well and like Kosi they will only improve from here.

Seriously though, Ball is too courageous for his own good. He surely needs to wear a helmet a la Nathan Burke!
