He reminds me of Gavin Brown in his hey day.

Not quite yet but an apt comparison. Sort of a cross between Brown and Wright.

He hardly ever kicks and if he does, its usually under pressure - so I'm not too fussed by jis kicking.

I agree with this, however, early days at Collingwood, I'm talking rounds 1-3, he would basically try to spot up leading forwards as a Nathan Buckley would do, which is clearly not his go.

He has eliminated this from his game which is very good as it seemed to create turnovers.

They said the same think on One Week at a Time that He Changed his Game for the better

I haven't seen that show for ages. Is it still on? Because every time I go to watch it something else, like Netball or something seems to be on:confused:

I actually don't think Ball's kicking has been that bad, I reckon (just a guess) he would have a higher kicking efficiency than Judd who is considered a god.

The thing about Ball's kicking is it lacks penetration.

There is nothing nicer than seeing a nice penetrating kick moving towards you as a leading player.

While the ball he uses by foot generally finds it's way to the intended area he kicks to, it definitely takes it's time to get there. :)

I love his up and unders. I reckon I'd poop if I was caught under one of them.

Fortunately those up and unders now seem to be directed to the hot spot and can actually create scoring opportunities. But the less he kicks it, the better of course.

Love him. He just attacks the footy so hard. His kicking is quite poor, but that's not what we drafted him for. He's doing his job better then I expected! Anyone know his average stats for this season? Would love to take a sneak peek

Of course, I agree with the penetration or lack of, but overall his kicking isn't any worse than Judds, this season anyway.

Think he was trying to show the Saints the where wrong about his Disposal until I think he knew they where right and he fixed up his game after that

Yes, Judd's disposal seems to be the most over rated aspect in today's football.

I cringe when I hear people like Gerard Healy (who I cannot stand. Probably my most disliked football analysis) rave on about Judd's supreme use of the footy.

Me to, I think Judd's use of the footy is absolutely diplorable, he does all the amazing stuff (shrugs off 10 guys with ease, etc) but then just absolutely butchers it, EVERY time.

lol! and whenever he kicks it and its a direct turnover "oh that wasnt judds fault, that was just because the rest of the carlton midfield werent there to lend support or he was under immense pressure and did a really good job to clear the ball from conjestion."
