Luke Hodge

Luke Hodge is a brilliant footballer, one of the best I've had the pleasure of watching in the Brown and Gold.

Brownlow medals are great, but they are not the measure of a footballer.

Carey, Gary Ablett Snr and Leigh Matthews, seen as possibly the 3 greatest footballers ever, have a grand total of 0 Brownlows between them. I still hope he wins it this year though.

Whilst everyone is arguing the merits of Ablett, Hodge, Goddard and Judd, I'm just bloody loving watching 2 first year players absolutely tear it up! Pods and Barlow. Just amazing first years. Pods is gunning for the Coleman and Barlow has to have picked up a fair few brownlow votes this year.

who is Barlow?

Michael Barlow, 189cm, 91kg midfielder who has come off Fremantle's rookie list and averaged 28 disposals per game in his first season at AFL level, and been a pivotal player in the Dockers' rise up the ladder this year.

The coaches are onboard.

Hawthorn's Luke Hodge still maintains a commanding presence at the top of the leader board. Hodge's 32-possession, three-goal effort against Adelaide attracted nine votes to put him 14 votes ahead of Collingwood onballer Dane Swan.
