Despite popular belief on this board, Jericho does have the talent that AFL clubs would take a punt on. IMHO, he would have a much more trade value than Skipworth who according to this board might be worth a 2nd round

Yes Stiffy, I think Skipworth has more courage than Jericho and I am not a big fan of either.

I believe the NAB CUp GF was a test by NC to see if Jericho could cut the mustard pressure in a game that in the context of things doesn't really mean much. He couldn't and I think the writing was on the wall for him from that moment. I used tell people give Jericho another chance, but when I saw that game, I said he shouldn't be allowed to play for the Crows again.

3 more players linked to the Crows this morning were Daniel Bell and Jay Nash (The Advertiser) and Mark Bolton!@!! (Herald Sun).

I've got nothing against Bell and Nash being drafted. Both ex-SA boys, both still young-uns. Bell, in particular, looks impressive. I'd be happy if the club wrangles something here.

Bolton, though? Geez, I hope The Herald Sun have got a bum steer here.

Also, The Advertiser actually said that there was pretty much no interest in Jericho or Skippy.

In terms of key pozzy players, it seems like that will more likely be our priority in the National Draft.

Steve Johnson has been offered up by Geelong. I gotta say, that I'm a bit of a fan of this bloke. He has mercurial skills, is only 23. Only his body has let him down in the past.

Talent yes, results no. He would be a huge gamble. Skippy at least has played some quality AFL footy. Hardly as clear cut as your  make it out to be.:)

Skippy's definitely been a better player than Jericho. But, I can see where Stiffy18 is coming from. Jericho, has the sort of mercurial skills (that is, when he isn't flinching) that would appeal to clubs.

It will be interesting to see what interest there is actaully in Jericho

the amount of anti-jericho posts by this board leads me to believe he is going to easily make the first 22 this year

Good luck to Luke where ever he ends up - hopefully the crows retain him however

Postman Pat will be over the moon if this happens.

But seriously does this mean not only does Jericho leave, but we get something in return?

steve johnson is an interesting one. we'd be giving up picks for him, and it can be argued whether we need another smallish forward (he isn't KPP) in the mould of bode, burton, welsh etc.

Skippy >>> Jericho by about tenfold.

If we delisted or traded Skipworth I would not care in the slightest. If we delisted or traded Jericho, I would expect it, I would agree with it, but somewhere in the back of my mind there would be a slight doubt as to whether it was the right decision.

I'm going to sound ignorant I know...

I was overseas when the pre-season GF was on, knew what the result was but didn't actually see the game...

What did Jericho do/ didn't do in that game to cop so much on here? or is it his SANFL form as well?

Jericho was rubbish. His night was summed up when he was running into an open goal and could have won the game, he dribbled it across the face and didnt score at all (thats how i remember it happening anyway, i was severely intoxicated at the time and havent watched a replay)

I today's AFL football clubs are more prepared to take a gamble on someone like Jericho than to get a depth type player in Skipworth.

Potential returns are much greater with Jericho. Potential sells ;)

Skippy at least appears to have interest, whereas it doesn't appear Jericho has attracted any.
