i watched this kid last year because i had a few mates that plyed for the oakleigh chargers. I havn't followed much of him this year, but i know he has had a terrible run this year.. whens he expected to debut?? what are peoples views on him?

Re: Luke Shuey - Debut

Inside mid, Fast, Clean, strong overhead. Is more flashy than S.Selwood but can play a similar type of game to him. Would love him to be be playing, a big bodied young gun would be refreshing.

Re: Luke Shuey - Debut

I can't wait to see him in action when he returns this year. Hopefully if he is right we throw him in for Round 22 just to give him a taste

Re: Luke Shuey - Debut

The title really should have a question mark

Agreed

Kid has had some bad luck since coming over, hopefully things improve for him soon.

haven't seen him play and don't know much about him, but winning vic metro's B&F means he must go alright.

always a risk drafting vics with high picks though.

What, because of the whole 2 we have lost over the 20 odd years??

He means its a risk because Vics are shit and West Aussies are the real talent in the AFL. :)

I dont know if Shuey is a certainty to debue early in the year let alone round 1. Considering youve got Masten, Ebert, Kerr, A.Selwood, Butler, Scooter, Swift, Stinga in the midfield. I guess its mostly due to whose on form, who gets injured etc...

We've lost more than one?

Gehrig

Off the top of my head others who got home sick have been McConnell and Haynes, but neither were highish draft picks

No losses there, in fact, I think we did better out of them leaving.

I am sure some on here would be keen for McKinley to be homesick next. Maybe he could go join Judd? Surely they'll give us something good for him??

McKinley for Kreuuuuuuuuuuzer!
For heavens sake WHY ? We don't need a fourth ruckman (well, maybe third as he MIGHT possibly get a game ahead of Seaby at the moment) and he CERTAINLY wouldn't get a game ahead of Cox or Natanui !

But if you're getting Kruzer for McKinley you'd make an exception, surely.

If such a crazy trade went through I'd tell Naitnaui his career is now going to be as a key forward and that Kruzer will be our ruck.

I'd also give Kruzer a game tomorrow, ahead of Seaby and Naitanui.

Carlton are not going to trade a number 1 pick ruckman for McKinley. From what I've been reading, Carlton are hoping to get McKinley cheap for a 3rd round pick.
