What Slayers has allegedly done is the equivalent a cowering behind his wife and whimpering while someone is shooting at them.

I think we are as well. Again, my comment was more directed at the pattern of compiling lie upon lie - to a point where no one knows the truth and know one can be bothered digging.

I don't think it has a lot to do with Carlton in this context and I don't think they can be blamed for much in this particular incident. There is the question of why they kept this guy as president, when there were clear questions about his ethics from his time at PWC, but I guess that comes with the territory with club presidents: you get some pretty dodgy operators who are only there because they're rich and powerful.
