I was just thinking that, if Quinten Lynch was moved to Full Back, he can kick 50+ metres, and is a strong mark.

IMO he should be tried at FB during the Wizard Cup

Any thoughts...?

He might get found out for pace at FB. You can get away with being a bit on the slower side at FF but at FB you could get found out by a bit quicker key forwards.

I like Lynchy at FF. He killed us in 2002:(

His straight ahead pace is fine, its his agility that worries me. But I agree, much prefer him in the forward line, especially taking marks about 60-70m out and taking pot shots at goal.

Agreed...you can not afford to have a slow backman...forwards yuo can get away with it.

Lynch is probably no less agile than Mal Michael who seems to do alright down back - in the end it comes down to matchups. I think he'd do OK on Carey, Hall or Rocca for example.
Prefer Glass at FB though as he plays tight, and his sometimes questionable disposal & decision making pretty much precludes him from playing anywhere else.
Lynch should be groomed as either a CHB in the Jako mould or played in the forward line.

Lynch at Full Back *could* work on Full Forwards that use body strength instead of pace. If he was up against a leading full forward such as Matthew Lloyd, I would think he may struggle.

If our forward structure is performing nicely, Lynch could slot into a CHB role.

Who the heck told y'all he's slow? The guy used to be a state 400m runner, thats fast by anyone's standards.

In a fullback spot you need someone with acceleration, 400 meter runner rely typically on sustained speed over the distance not acceleration. If he was a 100 or even 200 meter state runner that would be more impressive.

The fact that he is a good 400 meter runner indicates to me that he is even more suited to CHB or CHF.
