PC's for me!
Mainly because I play games (like Vietcong, DoD, BF1942, MOHAA, SOF2 ect)
I've never liked Macs! Sure, IF your into graphic design, then you would have to be a ****** to use a PC, BUT for much more they not really worth it!

I'm not saying PC's cant to graphics design BUT I am saying that Mac's are far more superior for the job IF you are a professional Graphic Designer!
Also (i forgot to add this to my last post!), For business work and gaming, you would be a ****** to use a Mac because PC's are far more superior for them!

Me personally? I've been using PCs for years and years.. from DOS 3.0-6.whatever, to Windows 3.1, Win95/98/Me/2k/XP. Dabbled with Unix machines and Mac OS 9 at uni... I use a Windows NT machine at work (in fact, I have an MCP in Win NT 4 - hasn't THAT been useful?)

Sorry. Can't stand Macs. Have been using them at Uni for years (G4s, new lcd iMacs), all sh*t boxes. They are just too damn slow. I have been forced to use them this year (one of my subjects I have to use Director and Photoshop) and god damn its irritating. They are not just slow in a speed sense, but in a usability sense. Screen resolution is another problem. 10x76 is just too low.
BTW - I do not recommend having MacOSX on a G4 to anyone !!![]()
It's not that I'm a PC fan (although I would definitely choose it over Mac) but more that I hate Macs.
Considering you can build a PC which is twice as good for what, half the price of a new iMac??
I'm not into pretty computers (like mine with the sides off, cords hanging out with drives half sitting in their slots)
Anyway, everyone has their opinion. This is mine...![]()

In about 2 weeks Apple will once again have the quickest consumer desktop computers available. With the introduction of the PowerMac G5 (sporting the new IBM 970 processor)...
These babies will absolutely mop up the quickest P4.

Horses for courses Zeke. If someone comes to me and says they want to buy a computer for any sort of video editing or graphics manipulation, then I tell them to get a Mac. If they want to do office style work (ie word processing, spreadsheets etc), then I tell them to get a PC - at the lower end of the cost scale. If they want to play games, then I suggest either a top end machine or just giving in and buying a console.
Most IT professionals these days will tell you what I'm saying - no one platform is suitable to all tasks. Those in the industry that say otherwise, quite frankly are either subject to a conflict of interest or are plain idiots.

I personally think your argument is uneducated and invalid. In my office we have both Macs (running OSX) and PC's - and in all honesty there is nothing I can do on the PC that I can't do on the Mac.
Macs running OfficeX can do any of the word processing, spreadsheet, powerpoint presentations etc that a PC machine can.
I would wave the flag the other way... Macs are actually far more versatile than people think - it is only ignorance that sustains this mentality.

Yeah, and I've heard that argument a thousand times for Linux too!
