Anne is an extremely good operator, been lucky enough to have worked with her for a bit in the early stagesMacquarie Point Development Corporation CEO answers listener questions about Hobart stadium build - ABC listen https://share.google/yo2PfFuIQgGWwklF8
Very good interview, shes so well spoken and knows her stuff. Really liked the 23k seated, 24.5k with standing with the ability to have 5 rows of seating added around the stadium to increase to 30k. With wider walkways around the stadium already built to handle the extra numbers in the future. Here’s hoping after a season or two they do add on those ‘clip on’ rows of seating.Macquarie Point Development Corporation CEO answers listener questions about Hobart stadium build - ABC listen https://share.google/yo2PfFuIQgGWwklF8

Going to be a bitch to get tickets for the first game lol. Worth it.Very good interview, shes so well spoken and knows her stuff. That was ruled out pretty early on. There are just some small sections of retractable seating for concert mode, highlighted here:I wonder if some seats will be retractable to make way for rectangular games.
"Segments of the lower bowl in front of Gate 1 and directly behind the stage to the north are comprised of retractable seating that will be removed during Concert Mode to facilitate direct egress from the field and out through the main gateways."
I doubt it. The Greens & Indies have made expenditure tight. I'm sure they'll now moan when it stays as an oval for Footy & cricket. They can't have their cake & eat it as well.I wonder if some seats will be retractable to make way for rectangular games.
Unfortunately, they’ll never be happy and I wouldn’t invite them to the opening night.I doubt it. The Greens & Indies have made expenditure tight. I'm sure they'll now moan when it stays as an oval for Footy & cricket. They can't have their cake & eat it as well.
I think what they will be doing is studying the companies that put in tenders for the stadium and see who their directors and non executive directors are and see IF any of them have links to any Tassie politicians who voted in favour of the stadium.Unfortunately, they’ll never be happy and I wouldn’t invite them to the opening night.
Need to get a Life IF doing thatI think what they will be doing is studying the companies that put in tenders for the stadium and see who their directors and non executive directors are and see IF any of them have links to any Tassie politicians who voted in favour of the stadium.
You have to remember some of these oldies have a lot of time on their hands, and this is what they do.
I know that do, but what's some of them do. NIMBY'sNeed to get a Life IF doing that
If they do dig in to it im sure they’ll find something haha. Politicians are grubby. They always find a wayI know that do, but what's some of them do. NIMBY's
My trust of politicians is very low.If they do dig in to it im sure they’ll find something haha. Politicians are grubby. They always find a way
Lucky anika wells isnt from Tassie. My trust of politicians is very low.
Benny Gale has been publicly against the Hawks sticking around, but if it gets us an extra home I think we should be all for it.Saw an interview with Mitch Cleary saying that Hawthorn are keen to keep their Launnie game for at least the next few years, and would potentially be a 'home' game against the Devils. If that were to happen and it was 4 games in Launnie (3 home + 1 hawks) and 8 in Hobart that would be big win for the team and the stadium.
Yeah hawks v anyone other than Tas would be a terrible idea. You want to starve the tassie hawks supporters tbh.Benny Gale has been publicly against the Hawks sticking around, but if it gets us an extra home I think we should be all for it.
The Hawks continuing to play games against other clubs in Launceston probably wouldn't be a good idea though.
The season will go to 24 games in 2028, so it would be 9 Hobart, 4 Launceston.Saw an interview with Mitch Cleary saying that Hawthorn are keen to keep their Launnie game for at least the next few years, and would potentially be a 'home' game against the Devils. IF the 24 games includes 2 gather rounds most teams will have 11 home games, not 12.The season will go to 24 games in 2028, so it would be 9 Hobart, 4 Launceston.
The 24 games has to include GR, as you can have an uneven number of games with 19 clubs. GR would be the two SA clubs plus seven other clubs, likely Vic clubs hosting games. Non Vic clubs likely to get 12 home games.IF the 24 games includes 2 gather rounds most teams will have 11 home games, not 12.
One extra Hawks game in Launnie would give the Devils an 8-4 split.
