His pass to Jetta which set up THAT goal was awesome.

Quietly very impressed with last night's game. He seemed to be weaving through heavy close in contact and then following it up with an astute reading of the next play with that ease he showed a few years back.

Got plenty of the ball all night but started a little off the pace imo as did Tadgh (to be expected), but really worked into it as the game wore on and he seemed confident by the end of the game in his kicking and body work which is a terrific sign.

Tadgh made a few mistakes but first game in 12 months or something with full on contact and i thought he got better as well. He is a gonna be a huge plus for us if he stays uninjured.

Tadgh, Mal, Mattner, Shaw and O'Dwyer (and possibly Vez according to some off season reports) playing off HB? How do we get that all working do u guys think?

Marty played through the midfield a bit last night on Judd and did ok, not great but i think of them all i would like Marty to move into the middle and h ave Tadgh, Mal and Shaw off HB with MOD possibly as well. Marty has the size and endurance to run with the taller and larger wingmen/centremen like Corey, Deledio, Pendlebury, Judd etc.

Well you better go catch him.

Loved his return and should go better now that his good mate Tadhg Kennelly is back. Seemed to be lost last year without Tadhg. I hope he has a big season for us this year. He's due for better luck. :thumbsu:

It was great to see Mal showing glimpses of his form pre injury. He also had good, clean stats which impressed.Hope it is a sign of big things to come from him.

Thought it was a solid return watching it live but on the TV replay it turned into a great return.

Was involved in alot of the plays and he had his lateral movement back. Looks like he could turn on a 5 cent piece like he did at his best.

Onya Eski! Keep up the hard work!

True. He looked better on the box than at the ground for some weird reason? For me it was his composure (I know it's only NAB), the time he took to steady, find an option and execute. He just looked cooler under pressure, and delivered a couple of very nice raking left kicks. No doubt Tie's (which I believe is at least the most phonetically accurate spelling;)) return has helped him, and blokes like Mattner, and Shaw (when he returns)...

Actually, I'm fairly certain you pronounce it "Tige". It's just that the "g" sound blends in with the "k" from "Kennelly", so you don't hear it properly. So "Tige Kennelly" sounds like "Tie Kennelly".

BSA is correct, it's actually pronounced Tige. I heard him in an interview on On the Couch one night say that. ;)

^ Haha I pay that:D

By far... the best part of R1 NAB.. for me (despite the brilliant debuts) was seeing Malceski inject himself into the play.

Still a bit Luke Ablettishly "dippy and lost"... but he did not hesitate to attempt a outside 50 shot. His knee is fixed!!!!!!:)

He is one of our several secret "aces in the hold".... play him as a "Maxfield style" wingman... he needs to RUN! Then he will poke the Sherrin down Bradshaws throat... flat and hard... from 50+m!!!:thumbsu:
