AFL clears Michael for draft

ESSENDON can draft former Brisbane full back Mal Michael after an AFL investigation cleared his nomination.
The AFL announced this afternoon that its investigations manager Ken Wood found Michael had not been involved in any conduct prejudicial to the draft.
The Bombers will pick up the three-time premiership key defender next Tuesday in the pre-season draft.
Michael had retired at the end of the season and his change of heart about playing infuriated Brisbane

Aww poor Brisbane..
no doubt they are going to have another sook that he and Essendon have been cleared of doing anything wrong.

In the end they had signed him good-bye because Mal and the club couldn't come to an agreement of giving him spare time..
I'm sure it can happen to any player,if a club gives you another opportunity,I'm sure they would take it..
If this happens to an Essendon player in the future,then good luck to them if that's what they wanted and needed..

All Essendon players have 2 1/2 days off a week, he won't be missing much, he's no slower than Presti.

Yes, this is Sheedy's last year of his contract. Contrary to beliefs he is working on building a side to push for a flag, not saving his own arse. He does this by reaching finals and getting a young team a head start with finals experince under there belt, so when it is their time they are ready for it

Man you guys are like us ,10 years away from trying to win a premiership.THe only difference is that we need a few top midfieders.We have recruited kpp's for our future spine when presti,wakelin,clement retire.At least i can say collingwood will be middle level at best next year,but we will ok in 2-3 years.There's no way you guys will challenge for a flag in 1-2 yeras time.Freo,sydney,bulldogs,and west coast will be challenging in the next 2 years.At best you guys will either get to 8th or 9th possie,providing you field a full team without injuries.
