Mick Malthouse won't coach again after Collingwood

Malthouse's long-time manager, Peter Sidwell, yesterday said his client would honour an agreement to become Collingwood director of coaching when Nathan Buckley took the reigns at the end of 2011.
"It is Michael's intention, absolutely, to honour his contractual responsibilities," Sidwell told the Herald Sun.
"He has absolutely no intentions of coaching anywhere else.

After hearing him last night saying he likes developing kids he might take up a role like that in 2012.

Well it's easy to say he's done an awesome job of it. Would be interesting as to what kind of position it'd end up being if he was working mostly with Youth Development.
 
his player management is second to none, when we lose a couple of games people start questioning his on field tactics of playing down the wings more than thru the guts.

been a magnificent coach for us despite no flag yet, hopefully we get one before he steps down as head coach.
