i forgot 2 post this on my other post, so i'll post it here.

Mick Malthouse u were the biggest idiot today with all the stupidest moves i've ever seen. why on earth did he place cloke in the forward line?? malthouse repeat after me CLOKE IS A DEFENDER NOT A FORWARD. That move really costed us in the 1st quarter. Another silly thing was he brang walker into the team whose only played a few games this year an he played a ****house of a game today, wasnt impressed with him at all.
Even Mckee woulda done a better job then him.

Who the hell was on akermanis an black??? malthouse could see they were killing us why couldnt he make a change???
half of the reason why we lost today was cos of u mick an i think u have alotta explaining to do

Agree with you on Cloke.

Tex tried hard, and played well in patches. Inexperience cost him. If they wanted to bring him in ahead of McKee, they should have bought Molloy in with him ahead of one of our smaller forwards, who as it turned out didn't perform. Molloy's good at doing some of the back up ruck work around the ground, and would have been good in the forward line with Tarrent.

Ackermanis had about three or four opponents. I know that Holland, Licuria and Johnson all went to him at different times. Lica didn't do to badly, but we needed him running today, Ben Johnson did okay, but he's a running defender not a midfield tagger, and Brodie Holland just didn't perform today.

Black was simply to good today, I don't think there would have been much Mick could have done on him. Perhaps they needed to have someone like Burns on him. Burns is good at stopping opponents when he has to, and it would have required Black to have to do some tagging of his own which might have helped nullify him today.

Just my thoughts.

geez isnt this rich? Whilst Mick did make some errors... dont go blaming him. Your players played like **** today. They had absolutely no guts or balls for that matter and certainly didnt look like they really wanted to win. Yeh and what happend to Bucks and Tarrant and Woey?? Your big stars? Phewww...

Gee Take it easy, the guy took us from second last too ninth to 2nd. One blunder, besides it really would not have mattered in the end, cloke wasnt going to turn around a 51 point loss.

Must admit I was wondering the same thing. Why put cloke up forward and make Shaw the loose man in defence? Very ordinary indeed.

Probably screwed up not selecting Molloy for Rocca as he has the body size and experience for the occasion. Molloy had been good for Willy as well.....

Well he certainly rose to the ocasion last Grandfinal didn't he, Molloy would have made no diference what so ever. He would have been another bench warmer. As for him being expirenced for the occasion thats laughable. Doing well for Willy is one thing playing well at AFL is totally diferent, as shown week in week out by players like McGough/McKee/and BK

Now I see why Richmond went for Coughlan instead of Jason Choke.
As for Ryhs Shaw, sure kept up the family tradition.

Molloy was limping like a crippled cow on Tuesday. He's average at best even when he is fit.

Cloke is one dimensional, he needs to grow as a footballer, and that means being called on to fill the void. Its clear that MM opted for him in the forward line because of his aggression and his will to get the footy. He did have that will today, unfortunately didnt have enough mates in this respect.

Akermanis was chopped out by Johnno in the 2nd quarter ( 2 possessions i think?) Unfortunately....it was other players that stood up while aker was down. Black was the catalyst, with all the focus on Aher/Voss/Lappin, he slipped under the magpie radar and cut us up.

True, MM was outcoached today, but he sure didnt have the class that Matthews had at his disposal.

Tell me that anyone of you geniouses could have gotten Collingwood over the line after half time. Black, Acker on fire, Voss making a controbution. Lynch rapping Wakes. Buckley OK. Lica quiet, Woey quiet at best. At the end of the day they had much more class then us in the midfield who did we have ? BUckley and Woey, maybee Burns who played CHF. Look at them. Lappin,VOss,Black,Acker,Power, far out seriously you can't go into the game with 5 taggers. They out played us in a big way, no one could have beaten them the way they were playing..

Regardless of what happened yesterday, Malthouse is the best coach you guys have had since Matthews.

That sounds like a big compliment, but considering the only coach between Malthouse and Matthews was Shaw that's hardly a compliment at all.

Firstly, I'm not a fan of Cloke being played up forward either, but I can understand why Malthouse did it yesterday. The fact is, Cloke can lead, will take a couple of strong marks and provide an option, but he's not going to kick goals. All the same, we needed someone with a big body presenting in and around the forward line, specifically across half forward.

Walker was used as more of a decoy to try and keep Michael out of the play, it worked a couple of times, but Michael was never going to be nullified like that.

As I said yesterday, I don't want to lynch any individual person. The team played poorly spare a couple of players, and we were simply outclassed. I've got nothing against Malthouse and I feel lucky to have him as our coach, as was mentioned above, he just didn't have the same class at his disposal. Brisbane's guns were firing, ours were fairly quiet.

I saw McKee in the Williamstown Grand Final, and he did not impress, I've got no problem with Malthouse's decision to pick Walker, it wasn't a choice that cost us the game. What did cost us the game, was our inability to perform to our fullest potential yesterday, and Brisbane played a remarkable game of football.

Some of our reactive tactical decisions and the way our players played yesterday showed that we were playing like a team who feared losing, rather than a team who had belief in their own ability to win. It is that self-belief that has aided us greatly in our rise from the bottom of the ladder to the upper echelon, it simply wasn't evident yesterday.

Not once did a Brisbane player look like they didn't think they could kick a goal, or break a tackle, or win the match for that matter... But many Collingwood players looked like they were doubting themselves.

As I said on the Brisbane board, we'll just hit the drawing board and hopefully come back in 2004 stronger from this experience.

you've all made pretty strong points.
but the main thing that really ****ed me of is that malthouse left clokey in the forward who was doing squat all up there, an left him there for most of the match....now u dont play a good defender in ur forward line especially when ur getting killed in defence...bit unprofessional too me.
our team wasnt right either..to many unexperienced young kids screwing up..u could tell they were nervous too...rhyce shaw screwing up an costing us a goal is a perfect example.
we need more experienced players.....

Was he Mooing?

He broke his toe and did something to his knee in the VFL Grand Final, I think most of us would be limping like a Crippled cow with those injuries.

For Christ's sake will some of you morons learn how to spell "foward"???? there is no "r" in the friggin word when talking about aussie rules...lol.....and YES Cloke is NO foward!
