Yes.

At least prior to his calf operations. Had a Vic state screening beep test comfortably > 14.0

Good to hear. Bit hard to tell watching him as a forward, obviously.

I still reckon he's a bit too vanilla to make it as a small forward in the AFL, but I'd definitely prefer him as a forward to O'Bree. With his pace and endurance, should also be able to push right up to the wing at times.

Here you go. 14.7

Also added 5kg to his frame in his first pre-season, so that takes a bit of time to adjust to, which I think he's doing now, along with getting back from his calf surgeries.

I don't think Rounds is vanilla at all. He's just going to take time to develop. Has an amazing set of attributes, not dissimilar to Wellingham. He doesn't have Wellingham's hands, and he doesn't quite have his evasiveness, but he is a better runner, a better kick, and by all reports more coachable.

Fair Enough he might not have heaps of X-Factor but he is a Good Shot on Goal, Quick and Can take a Good Contested Mark. Be Better then what Davis has been giving us this season

I'd argue Wellingham, if you take away his hands and evasiveness, is a bit vanilla.

But I mean that simply in the context of a small forward, where sideways movement, hands and evasiveness are so crucial. I think Rounds definitely has AFL potential on a wing.

I like your report on Rounds Sampler. Maybe he could even come in this week... Unlikely though given what MM said in his message about changes.

Agree with that with his Speed/Endurance Combanation and Good Foot Skills I do think Wing will be his best Postion

Still does not mean he will not come in he said there won't be many changes but he did not say what ones

Happy to continue talking about Rounds but I might start a new thread so as not to derail this one.

I find Mick amusing sometimes. Calls out the fwds calling them pathetic but clearly our mids let Brisbane hold and control the ball.

Im suprised no one has mentioned Nick Maxwell's 1st qtr efforts. Put in a half arsed chase on Daniel Rich's kick that rolled through for a goal and then playing on and getting tackled by Banfield in the goal square. 2 gimmie goals. I love Maxy but he has to be better then that.

The match was completely list by the players though, our 22 is collectively better then their 22
Yes and no. I reckon our 22 bats deeper and more often than not it should be enough to beat Brisbane (as opposed to Geelong & St. Kilda). Their top end is WAY better than ours though and that's what beat us (and why we don't win flags). Fev & Brown up forward - we can't get near that. Power and Black in the guts - arguably Swan is as good as Power. Maybe Pendlebury will become as good as Black - maybe not. We played defenders on Fev & Brown and they got beaten. It happens when you are up against guns. The problem was we didn't stop Power. Teams sit on Didak/Davis and even Swan who is a less taggable player. Year after year I've been saying that we don't corect an opposition mid getting hold of us.

We did once last year and it happened RIGHT IN FRON OF ME! We should have told Sidebottom to sit on Power IMO. I pray we do it with Hayes for onece next time we play St. Kilda adn FFS can someone stick to Ablett and PLEASE be goal side at stoppages.
