There is gameplay reveal on the 13th our time of Bungie's coming PvPvE/extraction shooter. As a long time fan of Destiny I'm interested but I don't think this game will be for me. Still keen to see what it's about though.

People who ran Bungie in the 2000s aren't there anymore, it's a different studio, now. These types of games aren't for me.
Why can't they just make a Halo style game with a nice lengthy campaign and pvp multiplayer?

Halo Infinite in December had a great mode where it was Halo 2 physics and maps. It sucks they got rid of it.They need to cater for MY nostalgia.
I just don't care for these types of games. Grind, loot, level up. Rinse and repeat. Live service model. They're soulless.

I wasn't too warm on this as it's simply not a genre I'm into, but as a massive Destiny fan (until the last couple years) I was still following this a little just because it was from Bungie. Some of the latest criticisms I weren't sure if they were legitimate or people just complaining that Bungie weren't making the game they wanted them to make. I wasn't ready though for Paul Tassi and Cross to completely write this off. These guys are massive voices in the Destiny community and while Cross hasn't been afraid to give Bungie a whack over the years he tends to show enough restraint as to not lose his playtesting privilege. The stolen art thing I think is being blown up a bit. Sure it's wrong and shows some massive issues internally at Bungie, but it's not a big deal to do a sweep and remove it if it's restricted to decals as it's alleged to be.
long talking head videos, but maybe if anyone wants some background noise to listen to how this game might be a total mess. Cross from 17:28 is on fire though
Without ignoring your entire post, but if you're a massive Destiny fan then shouldn't this be the type of game for you?
