I heard on White Line Feaver Marc Murphy got Rising Star for Rd 1
good on him he played extremely good he jolly deserves it
i'm sure he'll play alot of games this year

I think your right, but more than anything he will take a certain type of pressure off Walker and introduce a new (jealousy?) type of pressure that will help him to be the player he should be.

I actually liked the way Walker went about his game. Seemed to grow in confidence and showed a willingness to back himself. With this new gameplan, he'll really start to find his feet.

As for Murphy.... it didn't take long.

Walker is playing really well. He is much maligned and he did a couple of sloppy things early on against the dees but picked things right up. Couple of fantastic carries, beautifull one hander, and some special deliveries into the forward line.

I thought when he did get the ball looked as good as Lappin or Scotland yet he didnt play medfield or lose back. Definitely played better than Murph, however considering what he was asked to do wasnt as obvious. There is no WAY murph could have done what walker did on the night.

Would prefer to see them be more consistent & am not expecting either to star every week at this stage of their career.

Thought Houlihan played well myself and even put his body on the line in a few contested packs, something he would have never done.

As for Murphy, what a great debut. Has poise, balance, and great decision making. Looking forward to see him play many games in the Navy Blue.
