Drummy has had a few good games for us, one on the top of my head is that game at AAMI last year against the Crows when he kicked 4 goals. He was also good against the swans in 06 and against the Magpies in 06.

To me he is similar to Webster but faster and more exciting.

Drum>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Webster :thumbsu:

We have two gaping holes in our tall requiremets. Full Forward and Full Back. If Drum can have a role in addressing either of those then that would be ahuge step for our team. I'm not saying that he can actually take one of those roles, although I would think he possibly could. But if he can permanently free up MacPharlin for the forward spot then great. For what it is worth, I would like to see him playing at Full Back, possibly from next year on a permanent basis, and occassionally this year.

I thought Drum was great tonight. Up forward and down back, he was very cool under pressure. He seemed to always hit a target.

he was good when the ball hit the deck but in the air hawkins was far too big and strong

I was about to say something similar. He looked good in bursts, but looked suspect in the air, which is unusual because he's got good hands.

With lots of injury concerns out of tonights game, he'll hold his spot no probs.

Not a bad player :thumbsu:
(from what ive seen, i'll admit that isnt much, the game he played against Adelaide last year was enjoyable though:p)

Why the hell hasnt he broken into your best 22 (with all players fit) yet!

Happy B day Drummy :thumbsu:

IF he could move to FF or FB that would be fanastic.

Mcpharlins best position is CHB, no doubt.

Well he's neither and the fact that it would be fantastic if he could move to FB is a reflection on our depth. Grover is our ONLY half decent FB, there are no others on the list.

But Grover was not always a fullback, it is something he has become. And in the end he would be better somewhere else, and definitely needs an understudy.

I don't think Grover could have played anywhere but where he's playing. Midfield? nup. Forward? nup. CHB? possibly.

I think Grover would have been a great midfielder or half-back flanker. If you can find any tapes of him before he was moved to full-back, you'll be amazed in the change in his body size and shape. Gav can probably refresh the memory a little better than me, but I'm sure he was actually a very good running player in his younger days and was very aggressive with his attack on the ball.

I think Connolly would have loved him in the middle, but with Robbie Haddrill unable to stay on the ground for more than a week or two at a time, we desperately needed to find someone else to fill the role and Grover was the one they picked.
