Marion asks for a trade!

Just read on Rotoworld that Marion is tired of hearing all these trade rumours and wants to go. I believe he can't handle sharing the spotlight with Nash and STAT. How can a guy who takes more shots than both, is on more money than both not feel he is getting his true worth? If he's going to carry on like that...take your awkward shooting style and get out of Phoenix!!!!!!!!

"I'm hoping for the Kirilenko for Marion deal, makes far more sense."

Amen to that.....

Would love the K come playoff time..... Marion has gone missing in some big play off games IMO.

I'd prefer a Odom and Brian Cook trade. Odom can handle the ball and take pressure off Nash, whilst Cook is a freak of a shooter who will love our system. AK47 is a poor shooter and is coming off a career worst year. Besides sounds like we'd be trading one whinger for another.

Except Odom can't shoot either, and is a major downgrade defensively. Odom is a good ball-handler, but when you have Nash it's not all that important. Running the floor and finishing is, which Kirilenko does much better, plus he also happens to be one of the best help defenders in the league.

Btw, Brian Cook isn't exactly known for flying up and down the floor...if you needed a stand-still shooter you have Piatkowski on the bench.

Dunno what Marion is whinging about, he clearly a better player by being on that Suns team. Oh well, he'll have to learn the hard way.

Teams that could make a play for him...

Lakers-Odom
Utah-AK47
Miami-Walker + Haslem + 1st rounder
Denver-Camby
Dallas-Dampier + Howard
Washington-Jamison
Nets-Richard Jefferson

Suns are going to find it hard to get equal value for Marion. They sure will not want to trade him to a rival team in the West, that could rule out a few of the teams on the above list.

Dallas should really try and get Marion if they can, I realise they are unwilling to trade Howard however Marion would be a nice addition to that team. Denver is another team that a trade could work well with. Getting Camby would ensure they wont lose a defensive presence in trading Marion, if Denver is confident in Nene's health that trade could work nicely, Marion for JR smith + Camby.

He can get ****ed really.

I never wanted to trade the dude (even w/ the Garnett stuff) but it's become clear over recent years that he values individual recognition over anything else.

Would've loved him to have remained a Phoenix player for the duration of his career but such is obviously not to be.

Howard is the best option of the lot you mentioned, but I also can't see Dallas giving him up. Marion for Camby is a horrible trade for the Suns - aside from Camby being greatly overrated he also happens to be old and really injury prone.

My preference would be Howard then Kirilenko then Odom.

Caron Butler would also be a good option if they can get him.

What about Larry Hughes from the Cavs? I reckon he would definately fit into the Suns style of play very well, much like his days at Washington with 22ppg, 6 assists, 2 steals (off the top of my head). He's definately not suited to the Cavs slow defensive style of play. Thoughts?

Not to say that that season was a fluke, but...it was a fluke.

He's been average pretty much every other season, and the Suns are already loaded at G. They need F's.
