so are the fanboys
extremely defensive game plan playing at home against North who move the ball fairly slowly
Ben Brown has little impact against a team defense but because Blicavs was manning him it was his great defensive work.
Lets see how he goes at the MCG cos last time against the bombers he was horrific in defense
Its doesn't hurt to give credit where due ... He has and is playing the role well. The MCG is a valid point.. and Brown is a different opponent than a Riewoldt for example.
For me , as it has been for at a season and a half.. form thru the year is always tempered , always balanced against ..what will happen when it really counts. Lonergan got beaten on occasions thru his career but he really made his rep in big games V Buddy , in that GF V the Pies etc. I was thinking yesterday before the game, listening to radio chatter that it was a big test for both..but really i was thinking that no matter the result .. credit for a Geelong win would be a ."yeah but". The game was setup for a if we win its at Geelong , if it was a loss ..North are real.
Well to be fair Blitz kept the Coleman leader goalless... one could not expect much more in this game. Next week is another game..but so far ..tick imo.
