I see that Mark Graham has been cut from the Hawks. We all agree that we a little short on key defender depth, would he be worth a PreSeason pick.Hes played mostly a short tall covering taller players so he plays above his 190 height but could play and the other flank opposite Milburn
Doubt he would cost much, played good footy this year in a side getting flogged, would gives some extra height and have a bit of coverage if Haley/Scarlett go down.

I agree provided the contract is cheap and we used say pick 60 + to get him here.

He has retired. Article: Graham, McCabe, Tallis and Barlow bow out

Wouldn't it be great if you could Rookie List players like Graham.

If we're only drafting him for depth purposes, he shouldn't be in the best 22, hence scrap any ideas of him teaming with Dash on opposite flanks. Playing him would only be keeping another youngster out, with spots in our 22 already hot enough as it is.

That being said, as experienced he may be, I'm sure we could do better than Graham if we were looking for depth. He'd be more a liability on our team list than anything else.

Thats why I said about the how good it would be if you could Rookie list old players. Maybe if anyone could be Rookie listed, you could draft someone like Mark Graham for depth purposes. Maybe the Rookie list should just be a reserves list.

You people are nuts.
He has retired. He has slowed down the last couple of years, and is more injury prone. He is already 31. Hawthorn supporters were critical of him, and they finished 15th?

How is talking him out of retirement going to help us win a premiership or develop the team? He MIGHT get another 10 games out of himself if he is lucky.

At least if we got him,the other Graham would never be bagged again. They'd be too busy bagging the new Graham. :D

I can't believe people are thinking it would be a good idea to get him. We'd also have to put up with his whinging wife. She'd be on K-ROCK or in the Addy every week defending Mr Useless.

have to agree with x man and jubjub on this one. he is useless, and it disheartens me to think that some of you's are of the opinion that it could be beneficial for a hack like that to be at our footy club.

Yeah so I heard. He wouldn't fit in to Geelong's game plan.

Very Harsh jmain14, for a start this hack has been playing football for a good period of time and could bring some experienced backup to our young list.
He has not retired. He was sacked and will go again if given a chance.

My think was simply that we have had a dream run the last couple of years but what if our Key backs fall over, it would make it almost impossible to repeat this years result let alone beat it.He could be a very cheep pickup , a bit like Pike for Brisbane
I like the idea of Egan as well but he would not be able to give the same sort of support to our key backs as Graham.
Id think we could look at him as another option depending on the way it pans out with the national draft.Maybe use a pick in the pre season on him
