AFL Club
Richmond
I would be interested in what other posters thought of Le Cras as a potential target for Richmond at the end of the year. Does anyone know where is originally from? Any rumours. The Weagles tend to fly under the radar because of the distance, but certainly Le Cras is an A grader who would nicely complement our forward line.

lecras is a wa boy from memory and would fill a critical need for richmond

Unfortunately we are no chance of getting him to come accross from the eagles

absolutely untoucheable

would cost too much! his an elite player now would love us to target players like him but just because they go under the radar here doesnt mean they go under the radar at wc or internally in footy clubs in general! if they did i would love us to target bernie vince too!

offer nahas mcmahon polo morton(that would be funny) and thomson for him and we would still win. just a shame cause he really is untouchable.

Have him in a heartbeat at the Tiges, but there is no chance he would be up for trade unless he wanted out. Him and Kennedy would be the first two picked at that club right now.

yea no chance you would think.
how about Ryan Gamble from Geelong. He looks a bit similar and would be going cheapish. Could develop with more of a run.
Anyone talk of him over that way.

Time to wake up. Their only decent forward.

We would have to give up a couple of high draft picks or a player like Lids.

Le Cras is a great player, but no thanks.

The Eagles have had a tough time losing quality players of late and are struggling currently. To take a player like La Cras from them would be like us losing Lids and Cotchin in the last few years and then a team coming through trying to take Martin from us. It would suck.

They simply won't give him up unless we were prepared to lose a lot of quality.

Really... Le Cras???

Good player but are we really that desperate for his extra 14 odd possessions & 2.8 odd goals per game?
I don't see him being the difference between us making up the numbers or perhaps hitting the 8 in a year or so.

I don't subscribe to Le Cras being an 'elite' forward & considering what he would cost us it would be nuts for The Tigers to chase him.

Might as well put work into Morton at no extra cost... 2009 numbers:

Le Cras - 23y10m - 182cm - 81kg
2009 Averages: Disp - 13.9, Marks - 4.1, Tackles - 2.3, Goals - 2.8 (58)
Morton - 23y5m - 186cm - 80kg
2009 Averages: Disp - 14.8, Marks - 5.7, tackles - 2.7, Goals - 1.95 (41)

Not a massive upgrade I would say.

Roachy, 2.8 goals per game is pretty damn good for a small forward.

He's widely recognised as being a class act. For footy smarts, consistency and kicking, he's about as good as it gets at the moment in that category IMO.

he's an elite forward no doubt. he was the only WC player i was worried about when we played the eagles last.

the only way the eagles would dream of trading him is if he asked to go

at the end of the day we dont need Le Crap. ;)
Being very harsh there Cogga.
Le Cras can seriously play and why on earth would West Coast give away one of their absolute out and out gems? Pointless thread.

yeah and against the spoon side, the "elite" forward you talk of did what? A whole lot of Mark Le Crap.
If we go anywhere near that waste of space, we will descend into another abyss...HFs are a dime a dozen, we have at least 4 kids developing behond the scenes and a Mitch Morton being re-educated. Why on earth would we go anywhere near a down hill skier like that FFS? ;)

Nothing wrong with 2.8 goals per game but nothing match winning either IMO. Especially as he does not tackle like a maniac or push up the field that often to help out in the middle. (Or if he does his stats do not indicate that he finds too much of the pill)

Look, nothing much against him & if he were on our list sure, pick him early each Thursday afternoon but again... considering what he would cost I don't see him as a key missing link in what we are building.

LeCras is their best player atm.

No chance in hell WC would even dream of letting him go.

Agree with this part, thread is pretty pointless. Could start a similar thread about 20 other untouchables in the comp. But if he was heading our way for no particular reason or price, he'd be our (and a lot of team's) second picked forward each week without a doubt.

He's not just a small forward dude, he's beginning to move up the ground and wants a midfield role, he's pure class, you must be cranking up your sarcasm............. or be losing your ****ing mind.

And that goal he kicked against us was pure shit:rolleyes:

He's not going to leave the Weagles, they've got enough $$$'s to keep him happy.

Nothing against you TT. What you say is very true but I hate these posts. This is footbally thinking of the past. No longer can you just target a player, throw some cash at them and they'll just come over. Let's talk about players who might come and have reasons to come to the Tigers rather than just speculate on players who are absolutely no chance in coming to the club.

Boak - might come as he may want to come back to Victoria and Port haven't exactly shown themselves to be a rock solid bet recently.

Vespremi - may want to come home to Melbourne and will be keen to play first footy.

These guys are old news though. Anybody else got anybody to add.

Might add that Boak would rightly cost our first pick and would be worth it and Vespremi, who was a mid first rounder, wouldn't go cheap. Would happily include Mitch Morton in that trade though.
