Now i know it was this guys first year, but i found his first year to be rather disappointing. I can only remember him playing one good game against Hawthorn but for the rest of the season it seemed to me that he was happy to sit in the background and really didnt impose himself up forward when most of the time he was playing on marginally smaller opponents.
I believe he is a very important player next year. He needs to step up and impose himself as a second target down in our forward line. He needs to improve his marking ability and put on a bit of weight so he can push away some of his smaller opponents. I hope that he can stop playing like a backup and this year play as a more confident player. I know everyone says that a CHB is the most important thing we need next year but in my opinion our key problem is still our forward line. In order for us to be successful in the forward next year we need Mark to step up and provide another option rather then Andrew McDougall.
Next year is make or break year for Mark Seaby and im hoping he can impose himself in our forward line and become a regular. Otherwise i can see him being traded off with the short supply of decent ruckmen in the comp at the moment. So am i the only one that thinks Mark Seaby will need to step up next year and be a forward option??
