i've had williams pencilled as a twat all week, but the class he showed after the game when he actively sought out all the cats players to shake their hands is the sign of a good bloke. Looking back, all the rent-a-quotes this week were just an attempt to find a chink in what he knew was an awesome team.

Port seem to be the Kings of looking good after acting like twats!

Not exactly wanting to bump this thread, but read this article, and Williams admits that they were not confident of winning, and that he knew Geelong were the best side in the land by a country mile.

It had to be done, Choco was pretty good humoured throughout the week when he did it. I don't have a problem with it, and yes it makes him look like a fool now, but i certainly don't see it that way. He tried something, we had very little chance going into the game, and if his mind tricks paid off, it may have given us a bit more of a chance. As it turned out, it didn't work...but besides pride, not like it cost him anything.

Judging by all the money being put on Port last week I think Chocos ploy had more than a few fooled.

well done geelong. it was near impossible to bother retorting to the verbal tirade from a few of your supporters because you guys do deserve a premiership more than anyone. congratulations

Yep the guy really shows what it is like to have a severe case of foot in mouth disease.

Humility aside, he did go up to nearly every Geelong player afterwards and give them a pat on the back, now that is a good sport. Maybe he needs to look at keeping the 'lid' on it before opening is big wobbly chin.

The lid was always on. It was just a ploy, which didn't pay off.
