For a while I've been thinking of a concept that is all about defending your home ground- your fortress
Here me out on this.
So basically the trophy will begin with the reigning premier.
Each time the holder of the trophy plays a home game, the trophy is up for grabs. The winner wins the trophy for the week and the loser loses/doesn't receive the trophy. It will then be up for grabs at the next home game of the holder. The overall winner for the year will be the team that holds the trophy at the end of the H&A season so theoretically the wooden spooner could come away with silverware if they defeat a top four side in the final round away from home if they were the holders of the cup. This can provide teams at the bottom of the ladder with incentive and create meaning to some matches especially late in the season plus it is a little bit of fun too.
