Hopefully some of you bagging on about Chris are actually watching the game today, and seeing HOW MANY times he is getting the hard ball and a quick hand pass out hitting a target.. for a young guy with a still developing body he does very well inside and often is able to get the clearance for the team from around packs.

Something that might not be noticed by some of you possibly?...

masten has been our best player today,so just lay of him young players in struggling teams will make errors.

Blueandgoldforever - You are a muppet.

Hate to say I told you so. Actually no I dont.

37 posessions. 1 goal 1 In side smashed in the middle.

West Coasts BOG by a LONG way.

He only turned over the ball a few times from what I saw and he did spear some pretty good passes. I guess people can't say that Palmer's better than him now as he's racking up disposals just like Palmer does.

BOG by so much today.

i say all the starters of anti-masten threads be banned for life instantly just to show how stupid eagles posters are.

his kicking was exceptional.

As long as he has plenty of improvement left in him he is heading in the right direction. Still hit and miss but not really unexpected at this stage of his career.

Read in the rising star thread that he had 85% disposal efficiency.
I don't buy this disposal efficiency a lot of the time. I keep seeing what players DE and always thinl, "nah, that can't be right".

Masten is starting to show some real potential. Hopefull he can turn into a really good ball user/decision maker as well as a ball magnet.

I can't remember exactly what I said in the Masten thread last week but he did exactly what I hoped. Continue to rack up possesions and improve on the little things. I still think his kicking will be one of his greatest strengths, (I can't understand why the commentators continue to bag him for it). His clearance work is excellent, especially for a small player and his running ability we know is top notch.

I was most impressed today by his improved evasion and how he seemed to have more time than usual and then looked up and hit a target. Once again he was very damaging by foot at times. The 38 disposals is not the most important thing, but I think he earnt a lot of them and they werent just cheap little Ablett 1-2s.

His ball use and decision making were first rate today.

His disposal was very good today. Anyone who thinks otherwise is sadly biased.

Our forwards are slow which is why they get spoilt all the time and make our midfielders look like worse kicks than they are.

under-rating his consistency as well, he's had over 20 touches 5 weeks in a row now i think. for a 2nd year under-sized player thats a great effort.

haters die now please.

This thread is pathetic.

Congrats to Masten and a very deserving RS nomination coming his way, 38 touches with over 80% efficiency is very elite, was up there with the best few players for impact this week with Ablett, Swan, Hodge, Rich and Chapman. Showed some awesome foot skills today to go with hes freakishly quick hands.

started off shaky but got better, particlularly second half.

Put 50 games under his belt and better all round performance from the team and it'll be interesting to see how much he develops.
