Well, looking as i suspected.

No clue what were doing out there, players who should not be getting a game are getting a game

SAM GILBERT I'm talking to you... What does he have to do to get dropped?

Meh, this team don't deserve finals anyways.

That's better.
4golas to zip in qtr 3.
Still can't understand why we can't play like this for a whole game?

Milne should be off the ground, looking like that......As Gerrard Healey said, looks like a break....

Won't be surprised if there is a big whoo haa over him being still out there, and not off in the medical rooms..

"Humble pie with sauce thanks" :D

Well done Saints, fantastic second half. If we can move it quickly to Roo and single him out next week i reckon we're half a chance against the crows. I hope we don't choke next week, key game. Crows flood more even we do, so show the boys the tape and move it quickly next week.

YYYEEEAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Up yours you dog umpires - tried your best but not good enough on the day!!!

Now they know what a loss feels like ;)

How many threads did you have to create to make an ar#e of yourself. Wasn't one enough?

pfft... win yes. impresive not.

How about they make a rule that there not allowed to go behind thier mark. They have to play on at all times. We play such disorganised, slow football. They mark the ball from little dicky kicks, almost always go behind the mark. Then, they hardly ever get people running past (doing hard running instead of being lazy), then they have to kick sideways, then they have to kick backwards, then they kick back to where they started. Its such crap football were playing atm. Thanks RL. If you ever watch geelong they hardly ever go behind the mark, always playing on by hand, they run in packs and always have hard running support, and they always seem to find space at CHF. Genius.
Were gonna get romped by Adelaide next week. They made the bombers look slow. You watch em RL thats how a real team plays footy. Nothing against the players, their just badly coached.

It was a very good win. Beating Fremantle by seven goals interstate is a worthy win. Fremantle hase not been bad the past 2-3 weeks, and St.kilda has rarely won matches at Subi.

Not sure why so much negativity on this form tonight. Did it ever occur to posters that St.kilda do not have a great list, and that we are actually more a middle of the road club, than say a top four club.

We have 6-7 great players. That does not make a great list. It's by no means a bad list, but not a good one. (Players like M.Gardiner, Gehrig, King are past their best)

I liked what i saw in the 2nd half, but i won't be convinced this time until we prove it by beating the crows and bombers with it for 4 QUARTERS. Would like just one game, just one where we play like that for the whole game.
Fingers crossed crows are favorites, we seem to not be able to handle the favoritism tag.

Well one thing we can definitely take away from today's game is that Riewoldt remains the best mark in the AFL (did we need more proof)?

We all know how good Riewoldt is. Unfortunately with Franklin, Fevola and Brown, he probably won't be All Australian. Can you believe that Pavlich is a 5-time All Australian, while Riewoldt has only been named twice?

Here is what I found encouraging from yesterday:

- Raph Clarke forward of the ball. Looked relaxed, kicked a really good goal, and it's good to see him play well.
- McQualter's 2 1/2 quarters on Jeff Farmer. Took him completely out of the game.
- King to Hayes, King to Hayes, King to Hayes, King to Hayes
- Nick Dal Santo work himself into the game through his tackling, which was first rate
- Adam Schneider's best game for the club
- A game that should silence the knockers by Stephen Milne. Hurt early but kicked 3 goals and was inspirational
- The cameo by Robert Harvey. Had an influence on about 15 minutes of the game, but what a 15 minutes.
- Kosi took eight marks while looking unremarkable.
- Goddard's last quarter.
- Sam Fisher's second half on Pavlich, as well as Hudghton blanketing Luke McPharlin, who has kicked bags on us before.
- Joey's continuing love affair with Subaico.
- Gram's run, and Eddy's mark.

how much better did Raph look yesterday?

:thumbsu:

... and if we beat the Crows (and make them look slow), will you still bag the coach?

We'll talk about that after we beat the crows. But... In answer to your question. Even if we beat the crows, yes i think RL is not a suitable coach. As Ive said many many times. Its his game plan, its the way the saints structure their play. It speaks for itself. Its not the players fault. We have brilliant players. Its the coaches game plan and they are not getting better. That says alot.

WELL i cannot believe my eyes i have actually seen the saints win in person for the 2nd time in my life! the last time was the win 4 yrs ago! ive never had such a great time then i did in the 2nd half with allthe saints supporters gettin rowdy and the noise that was made when we got that momentum was fantastic. You can certainly tell how rare success has been over here because after the game ive never seen such a large group of supporters stay and cheer the boys and the boys certainly looked very appreciative and i could see it meant a lot to rob because he wouldnt of had too much success over the years.

I have to say i was very glad to see raph start forward as his errors arent focused on or have as much impact on the result as if they were in the backline and was magnificent to watch roo up close at my end dominate in the 2nd half. Also schneider n especially milney to back it up and play another great game interstate. Superb win and has really got us back in the hunt and reduced some pressure for the last 2 games. Also really enjoyed Kings game with hayes. Well done boys.

Meh, this team don't deserve finals anyways.

To get Sam Gilbert dropped you need to find someone who will play better than he does in that posi.
Since Hudgeton , Fisher, Blake and Goddard are already on the team there is no-one better. He is probably in the best 22 and is looking better all the time.
:p
