I didnt think we played that badly considering the red.

If thats us starting slowly weve got a cracking season ahead.

The energy in the first half up front was great. Just a bit reactionary and sluggish at the back. I doubt Jose will be sitting on his hands about the whole situation.

Oscar started beautifully and Hazard worked into it as the game went on. Not entirely dire signs.

Swansea aren't a bad team either and usually start the season running.

I believe Chelsea were impressive yesterday. A point was a good result.

Grinded out a draw whilst playing a man down for 40 mins against quality opposition. They're a week behind most teams in terms of preparation, & unfortunately I can only see them improving. If squad depth is believed to be an issue, Jose will spend.

Which would be fine except that you'd made that point after 1 pre season game. Not at the end of their pre season. Had you made it then, I would have likely echoed your thoughts.

Since your counter was "results don't matter in Pre-season" not sure what would have changed about that opinion over the course of the pre-season.

Anyway, whatever, we'll see how they go over the next month.

You've beaten Swansea by a ton of goals in the last couple of meetings. It was quite a turn around for the Swans, and they must have a huge season ahead as well if that was Chelsea playing well.

Swansea are are an odd sort of team; on their day, they can get a result against anyone, but they can also lose to anyone if they have a bad one.

The way they play though is really admirable and makes them one of the better teams to watch. They're sort of like a poor man's top European team, if that makes sense (it probably doesn't).

So you're telling me if they play well they can win and if the have a bad one they can lose. :p

Each to their own buddy:thumbsu:, im not that fussed by what happened myself.

Swansea were great against us last night, not sure what previous games have to do with it.

They are a great team to watch on their day.

swansea's only real outlet was montero. it really can't be put across just how bad ivanovic really was. montero is quick and has a trick or two but that was a belting. ki going off for swansea was a very understated loss.

It was like Chambers last season. Dont think he played at right back again.
