yeah his left ankle is ruined. has been for a long time. no idea how he makes the euros. needs to take the entire summer off and have something done about his ankle, if anything can be done.

whoever let him for years play without taping up his ankle should no longer have a job.

Pellegrini on Silva :(

Ankles are shit. Once they are damaged, they are forever damaged but how much work can be done with them & how much pain remains is case-by-case. Baines is the same, he seen a specialist again last week because he still has to play through it. Then he was subbed on a day or two later, hindered but still able to play. Be a bit of a blow if it impacts his chances for England too, he's still a class above Cresswell, Gibbs & co

Yep, I ****ed my ankle over two years ago and it's still not healed.

Sprained my ankle a couple of years back playing cricket. It was January, by September it was still swollen like a grapefruit. Fickle joint.

I did lateral and medial ligaments in my ankle years ago. For a year after I just had to have the slightest wobble and it would turn over again, there just wasnt any strength in it.

Did my ankle again a bit over a month ago, posted the picture on here. It's still about 25% bigger than the other one.

I'm just about on the 2yr anniversary for mine, feels fine most of the time but sometime I'm just walking normally & it's click....click.....click. Not painful but annoying, got through footy last season with strapping but it was always in the back of my mind. That said first game back I launched without thinking for a big spoil over the back & then on the way down I was like "Oh......". Landed like a cat & was like "**** yeah!". Can't imagine what people think with ACL's etc

Had ankle issues after I did something to it with a free kick. Gave me problems for a good 2-3 years. My shoulder and shins have made up for that though.

Bloody hell, how did Dier not get sent off?
Don't know really. Would a 2nd yellow to red card rescind the yellow he got? He's on 9 now.

That said you could say the same about Bellerin. Also very lucky to not get a 2nd yellow.

I believe the second yellow does rescind the original one when it comes. When is the cutoff when all cards are re-set? Start of April rings a bell so a fair way to go to avoid the ban if he's on 9 already.

Inclusive to 2nd Sunday in April. So Villa, Bournemouth, Liverpool (A) and Man Utd (H) with no domestic cups he can serve a ban in. Sigh. Walking on egg shells.

Alli is on 8 as well and he also worries me as he gets his cards for stupid shit. Like kicking players (lightly) or time wasting or push and shoves etc.

Has 5 Europa yellows too. Like I understand that's part and parcel with being a tougher side, not the traditional soft and fragile Spurs but geez don't go getting cards for stupid shit like that. Hot temper on the young lad.

I can't find the article but back when he debuted for England there was an article quoting his former Mk Dons manager.

Crux being that when his temper got up he would call him over to the touchline, if he made a special prearranged hand gesture to the manager unprompted he knew his head was still switched on, if not, he'd lost control of himself and would be subbed off. Sort of wish we'd do likewise.

Sounds like he has a similar personality to Wilshere.

Not bad to have someone with a bit of fire in the team. Just wouldn't want 11 of them. Need some calmness.

Norwich away, United home, Bournemouth away, West Brom home leading up to Chelsea away.

If we can win the next four I reckon we're right in it. Three wins and a draw and we're not out of it yet. Any worse than that and we start looking over our shoulder.
All depends how us and Tottenham do. If we match you for results during that period...

Oh my gosh I'm getting excited and way too ahead of myself!

Was quite annoyed with that decision, 2-2 and we had some momentum, may well gone on to win the game had that decision been made. Giroud certainly went down easily but that was a clear yellow card offence for me.
