A week late but anyway, congratulations Vito Mannone for playing such a vital and heroic part in keeping Sunderland up when it seemed they were doomed and whilst he and Fabianski are playing EPL football, the **** head that was kept whilst those two were offloaded will probably end up playing in one of those top class leagues like the Bulgarian League or in Romania or Israel, maybe even in Poland.

Congratulations also to the most underrated and undervalued true strikers in the English game, Jermain Defoe. If he had been playing in almost any other country, he'd be revered but in England, duh, "he's to short" so he's been shunted around from club to club and he always, always scores and get's the job done.

I grudgingly also congratulate Allardyce. Alex Ferguson is right, Allardyce's "tactics" do improve other sides because he gives them something else to think about and to his great credit, he has adapted his style of game somewhat and has been successful in keeping up Sunderland.

Absolutely this. I have a mate who supports Everton who is really set in his hatred for Liverpool, and it's sort of like - why? You don't live over there, you don't have that context of rivalry like they do. I mean, sure it builds if there's some close games between the sides, but sometimes I feel like it's a bit contrived over here for the sake of it.

I dont hate Everton. I always want to beat them though. But it's hard to hate a team when they are mostly insignificant. The rivalry with United is far bigger I think for fans outside of England. Whereas scousers probably rate Liverpool v Everton over Liverpool v United.

United vs Liverpool is both sides biggest rivalry over here. The merseyside derby is far more heated on the pitch than off it.

pretty sure because the FA Cup winner automatically get a Europa spot. Could be a big difference in terms of attracting players but Klopp seems to be going for the rough diamond approach anyway.

Definitely is. As a club, we usually are pretty good on the European stage. Hopefully Klopp can keep the pressure in check for out squad who dont have the Gerrard's, Carra's and Alonso's of this world anymore to point to for big european nights.

Yeah looks like he is taking the Dortmund route and getting the cheap rough diamond. Hope it works out. I think we will do that but with one big purchase which hopefully will be Gotze.

If Man Utd win the FA Cup, we'll have to go through all of the Europa qualifying again apparently.

I was gutted, but we had such a great season, we only had 8 losses in the league and our previous best was 13.

I just hope it doesn't cost us a Lacazette or Batshauyi, we really need a pacy / clinical striker not named Theo Walcott...
