All good in theory CB17,BUT i expect every player in the team to back up each other when the moment arises.
Also i don't think all the responsibility should be left to a kid as we should expect more senior players leading from the front at this stage of our rebuild.
Also Arnot has just got back onto the list which to me means his career was at the crossroads.So i would prefer to see the kids talent ATM and ADOPT
these tactics more frequently when he is more established in the team.
He goes hard and tackles anyway,but i would hate to see him turn into an opposition despised football bum at this stage of his career.

Using the same logic though if we start Cotchin at FF it would prove that Vince is in our heads.

No issues with your pov's, but i once saw dusty start at ff on Ted Richards and he had no idea on how to play him.
He wouldn't be in our heads, we'd just be taking Vince out of his comfort zone, and Cotch can hit the scoreboard.

lets hope the bikkies first assignment is to be the hard tag on bernie vince with a licence to use maximum aggression and biffo.

Was going to suggest something similar, not a tag on Vince, but for him to be an enforcer and to give Vince a few bumps to knock him off Cotchin and make him think twice about trying the same stuff he did to Dangerfield.

I think he just needs to concentrate on getting a kick.
His biggest issue has been putting the cart before the horse and getting way way ahead of himself.
Maybe he reads big footy.
So good time for him to just play a solid team role whatever it may be and take one step at a time and make a good fist of it.

Great stuff, deserves his chance after some solid pre season form. Really hope he can make an impact and show he deserves to be on the list beyond 2015.

Interested to see where he plays - hopefully won't be starting as the sub too often and given a decent chance to make a go of it. Maybe he can be the solution to our defensive small forward dilemma. Just tell him to tackle, smash, chase and throw his weight around.

The times I've seen him play midfield in the seniors, he's struggled to find the ball so perhaps he's best suited to that lockdown defensive forward role.

Biscuits did ok remember only playing his 11 game, had 10 possies, 6 tackles and a goal.....
Melbourne under Roos play a high stoppage/contested game, why waste Arnot on Salem put him on ball for longer that a few mins cause with that strong body and willingness to hunt & tackle he will win more one on ones than most creating more clearance opportunities....

was far from disgraced last night night. deserves more games, but wont get it. Should be the small defensive forward with spells on the ball, and morris should be out. SHowed a lot more last night than Morris.

Needs game time, and seems to be one of the only ones willing to do the hard stuff last night
