Guys - i think its almost time for Lloyd'y to hang up the boots.
He is a full forward and nothing else.

If he isn't going to play out of the goal square he shouldn't be in the side.

This business of him on the wing and in the middle is useless. He doesn't have the hand or foot skills to pass the ball around, all he does are these little dinky hospital kicks that hang in the air too long.

What do you all think?

What i think is that everybody is falling into the same trap as last year.

Write champions off at your peril. He will bounce back yet again.

I think it's round one for **** sake, I mean Lecras kicked 6, he aint doing that every week, Lloyd kicked 0, he aint doing that every week.

Write him off at your own peril (again)

So you did not watch him in the second half of last year ?
No he is not the player he was and is nearing the end but one bad day is not the end of him.

No, Lloyd is not finished. But I believe he should play FF and not up the ground, we have midfielders for a reason.

He should take one final lesson from SOS and hang up the boots earlier rather than later.

Footy moves on. One door closes and another door opens. Michael Hurley will be a star.

I think it's round 1 and threads like this at this stage of the season are ridiculous, especially when talking about a champion who played some of his best ever footy in the second half of last year.

Wasnt it the west coast game last year that Llyod turned it around. Tore the Weagles a new one at the Telstra dome after receiving heavy critism in the paper??

I would have thought that West Coke Eagle supporter would remember that........... too many sleepless nights maybe....

Face it, just because Lloyds not kicking his average 6 goals a game (hense the overexaguration) shouldn't mean he should retire at all!!!

If this is the case, why don't we ask Barry Hall, Russel Robertson, Brett Burton & all the other greats of the game to retire too... If you went up to any of them and asked them to retire, I'm pretty sure you'd get a left hook in the face... (Especially from Barry Hall ;))

I think we should play your rubbish mob so he can dominate himself into form AGAIN and prove the knockers wrong

lloyd's gone forever. his time's up. he'll never be good again, delist him.
i don't know why we even bothered with him in the first place.

I think you're incredibly stupid to have that view based on a single bad game.

Obviously you didn't watch the game last year where he destroyed WC playing up the ground, and played well thereafter.

He's a champion, playing in front of an average midfield, and sacrificing much of his game so we can play a kid at FF.

If he was playing out of the square at the Dogs he'd just about kick a ton.

I'll be very surprised if he's quiet this week. The man owns docklands.

To be honest I don't think he's capable of kicking a ton at any club.

He can still get to 60 goals but he'll have to play very well. One of his greatest assets was timing his leads and having enough pace to keep distance between himself and the defender.

He can longer do that. He also seems to struggle a lot more body on body and gets done a lot for hands in the back. At the start of last year he lost his feet a bit and did it yesterday.

I have no doubts he can still play great footy but for me he'll be playing at a Barnard level in our 2000 side compared to the old Lloyd.

What a load of smoked lunch meat....:thumbsd:

Lloyd will have at least as good a season as last year...:thumbsu:

One thing i have noticed that has always irked me....when his confidence is down he more often than not goes to ground..:thumbsd:.He rarely did that when he was on song last year....:thumbsu:
