Apparently Lobbe is being shopped again
Port were offered a first for him last year.
A few teams needing a ruckman, Rich, WC etc
Rightly or wrongly big men hold value, think hampson etc plus a few teams desperate for a ruckman
Contracted
Mid 2nd?

Definitely worth a mid 2nd. Lots of potential if someone is willing to take the risk.

Just needs to be in a 1 ruck team

Port shit the bed by not taking our first last year. Pretty crap player, no thanks.

For what its worth they said they would accept the first round pick your mob offered but it was late in the trade week and couldn get onto lobbe and couldnt do a medical etc
But as far as ruckman go apart from maybe Lobb hes the best ruckman on offer

Dogs or Eagles?

id say Dogs, WC, Rich would be the main ones

Unlikely to be us, have just signed up Tom Campbell for another 2 years, so we'll probably go in with Roughead, Campbell, Boyd and a rookie/late draft pick next year.

Provided we get more KPF backup for Boyd (and to cover Redpath while injured), I don't think we'll be investing heavily in ruck stocks this year.

Mid to Late 2nd Round, 25-36 range I'd think. Port want draft picks so I'd assume they'll want a package for him maybe something in the 30s and then a 3rd round as well

Depending on what PA are asking, and perhaps if they are willing to pay some of his wage, I could seriously see Hawthorn sniffing around. With Ceglar going down and McEvoy strangely still unsigned, it would be the type of thing I could see them doing. Only at the right price though. They likely won't have a lot to offer and salary cap could be tight

Richmond and Freo make sense. Sandi is old. Maybe Hawthorn. Big boy has no backup and seems to be a bit broken.

Lobbe can run all day and compete. Getting Ryder and giving Lobbe a long contract at the same time didn't work. Cut losses.

If it was up to me I'd definitely swap him for someone like Tim O'Brien. Maybe even Schoenclangers.
I heard that Port were looking at Kaiden Brand maybe a package for Brand and O'Brien for Lobbe and someone else like O'Shea?

Isn't his contract pretty hefty and runs out in 2019? Surely That is a noose around ports neck if they want to trade him. Lobbe would be a handy stopgap for teams with injured rucks but no one would be willing to absorb the other three seasons.

Wasn't he pretty bloody useless this year, in a team that had no-one else as competition and as such ended up playing someone who doesn't even win hitouts instead of him?

If he has any sort of contract that another club would have to take on I'd be surprised if Port got a pick inside 40- unless there was something physical holding him back this year in a big way.

Injured for a good chunk of the year of memory serves
May have been, but I thought the rest of the time he was very ordinary as well, at least that seemed to be the word coming out of the Port folks on here and I know when we played them in round 1 Hickey gave him a bath (2nd most coaches votes for that game, in a losing team), for instance.

Would be ideal if tigers match the vickery offer. McEvoy as 70/30 fwd/ruck and lobbe as main ruck

Bad start to year. Pcl. Hampered coming back from Pcl. Played one good game. Crap year but worse than he is. Long contract but no indication it is crazy expensive for a ruck. Needs to be a number 1 ruck as his marking is 'average'. He can run, compete, tackle link up. That's what he is.

Minson and Maric will be available, both better than Lobbe.
