You're the only poster on this Forum, who revels in a Crows loss ....strange that
Most Crows supporters are really upset we went out in straight sets without winning any quarter.

Unlike you we actually stick by the club in it's worst moments, rather than going into hiding!

Yes, and I've only just "calmed" myself this morning ..... whole of Club failure !!!

Capitulated much the same as 2017 ....not a yelp

BUT ...what's making me "GAG" is the self congratulations on having a good year, by players, coaches, and administration .....they've sounded like they just played a round of gentlemanly Golf 🤮
The back slapping all summer and when we lose a few games in 2026 will be vomit worthy.

"We finished top" is going to be the new "less than a kick from a grand final" company line, along with blaming the Rankine ban.

Meanwhile teams like Hawthorn do whatever it takes to get better.

Second question for WaynesWorld19

What’s your thoughts on Moore holding the record for intercept marks in a final?
It's almost like we reverted to last year's game plan which made every opposition loose defender BOG.

Didn't work then, so why not rehash for finals.

Another case of Nicks outsmarting himself... because he just isn't very smart.

I'm sure Wayne will blame Davis, even though he wasn’t even at the club last season.

We should have sent Nicks back to the USA during finals. We would not have been worse off!

Do you mean, like you saying you would never attend another Crows game as long as Nicks was Coach .....we know you lied ....but it goes towards your moral compass

More deflection Wayne.

If you want people to actually take you seriously, how about you provide an honest assessment of our finals campaign... rather than continuing to be a campaigner!

Who remembers where we finished on the ladder, at the end of the minor round, in 2017 .....who actually cares in retrospect

I wanted to see a bit of anger & determination come out in post season interviews .....not self-satisfaction

You know the same people that coddle Nicks are going to throw tantrums when potential trades nominate another club because they don't want to play under a loser coach. They won't make the connection.
Mmm.....this didn't age well did it

But at least you're consistent .....let's hope one-day you fluke a correct prediction

I had us 3rd, so slightly. Everyone talks about the rise from 15th, well he ****ed up hence we finished 15th.

His Hawks effort was just as bad as the Pies game.

What had I been saying for years is he’s Ken a clone, except he hadn’t made finals until this year. He is too much of a moron to coach successfully in finals and he was bound to **** up. That’s why I wasn’t sucked in by our minor round position and jumped on the Nicks lovefest, still think he’s COTY?

But he was actually worse than I thought he’d be. Stupid selections, stupid match day moves and a gameplan that didn’t stack up to finals.

What was the result:

Moore leading intercept marks in a final
First top team to go out in straight sets since 1983
First team to play 2 finals and not win a quarter
Worst 2 losses for the year were in the finals

The bloke is a fraud, a dodgy used car salesman. He’s too arrogant for his own good.

I would not be surprised if we miss the 8 next year, harder draw, missing Tex or reduced output, mentally scarred team and other teams will rise, Bulldogs and Swans will come hard.

If look like making finals it’s one year extension, if we don’t he has to go.

He went from 9th to 1st in 2 years, a pretty good effort, but not unbelievably amazing.

Not one comment on Nicks coaching during the finals, why so shy you reckon?
He's got nothing!

There is a reson he is this board's court jester as no one takes him seriously.

He's busy deflecting & hasn’t made 1 post of substance on our finals.

No-one of us revel in any of this but the facts are :-

  • we lost both finals at home, repeat we lost both games at home after a 12-1 WL record at home in the home and away
  • the first Minor Premier since 1983 to go out in straight sets and the first time Adelaide has ever have gone out in straight sets
  • we did not win a quarter in both games
  • we were at full strength bar Rankine
  • the combined two losses were greater than the five losses in the home and away
  • we play two players in R23 against Collingwood who 4 weeks later get delisted. WTF!

We beat Hawks and Collingwood only weeks before
2 biggest losses were in the finals
Margin in those finals were larger than our combined minor round losses
Moore finals intercepting record

Fancy coming into the Nicks thread and talking about anything but Nicks, why is that?

Well what happened to North Melbourne in 1984 after going out in straight sets in 1983.

Well they finished second bottom.

It will be interesting to see the players reaction to these final losses. Think we might get an inkling early next year.

I can see a downhill spiral which means Nicks is one step closer to being out the door

Is that more hope ??

Hes got too much talent in the side to fail in the minor round, particularly if we get Ah Chee, and "name" mid.
Definitely not hoping we slide even if it means getting rid of Nicks, that’s the positive of sliding.

Tougher draw
No input from Tex or reduced
Mental scarring
Will we have an amazing injury run again?
Opposition improving

Finals are definitely no lock
