Riewoldt has held down the hardest position on the ground for basically a decade. In doing so taken his side into two GF and multiple finals.

Riewoldt for me. Has held down the most difficult position on the ground since pretty much day dot and has performed at a consistently high level over the journey, arguably being the best in the league for a spell there. I get the feeling this guy is going to be criminally underrated after he retires unless he snags the Saints a flag.

That said, I'd probably prefer Pav at the Blues in 2012 :)

Pretty even I would have thought.

If pressed however to make a choice I would pick Riewoldt simply because he plays the toughest position in the game.

But you would be happy with either at your Club and both will leave the game with their heads held high, due to sensational playing records.

If Pavlich had done as well as Riewoldt up forward he wouldnt be moved all over the ground.

Pavlich was moved around the ground because he is skillful and has the ability to help Fremantle out everywhere when Riewoldt on the other hand is more one dimensional.

Is he? I have no doubt that Riewoldt could easily hold down CHB, FB Wing or through the middle if required. So many times Ive watched Freo and when Pavlich is struggling at CHF they move him in the middle which happens a lot.

Bingo! Roo could potentially be just as versatile as Pav. That he plays the most difficult position on the ground with such aplomb in that he's rarely beaten, surely isn't a negative.

So is Brett Deledio better than Matthew Scarlett because Lids can play multiple positions, whilst Scalrett is "more one dimensional"?

What relevance has this got to the poll? In terms of forward capacity, Riewoldt is better than Pavlich at their best but as an all rounjd pl;ayer and footballer Pavlich has Riewoldt covered and would be more use as an individual player of the two.

Your opinion is based more on what Riewoldt hasn't had to do rather than what he can't do, but even then, one of the greatest uses a player could offer a team is to hold down CHF as well as he does.

Nonetheless, given Roo is the better forward, there's nothing to say that if called upon to do so, he mightn't turn out the better backman and better midfielder too. Personally I reckon Roo could run anywhere between CHB, wing, CHF, FF and do really well.

Both are pretty consistent players, so I'd take Pavlich for his burst ability.

Can win a centre clearance as well, something I just can't see Riewoldt doing.

Utter nonsense. I think Riewoldt would struggle as a key defender. Doesnt have the tank or the foot skills to play as a midfielder, or the pace. Gun CHF but to think he can play around the ground and be a star like Pavlich is just nonsense.

Doesn't have the tank?
