I reckon you've done enough to earn top four status. It was a close run thing, 4th, but you clearly wanted it more than others and rescued what looked like a wasted season. Respect.

Tonight should be a cracker. I'll be honest with you though, given half reasonable conditions I think the Hawks will be too good.

If the Hawks bring their best game, it won't matter how you play. If the Hawks are anything less however, Saints could easily find themselves in a GF.

If the Hawks aren't 100% devoted to this contest, they don't deserve to be playing-off for the flag; therefore if you win it'll be because you deserve a shot and we don't. End of story. No excuses in a prelim - you're either ready for a shot at the flag or you're not.

'Grandfather Time' might be bowing out tonight. It's been a great career. His 'highs' might not have been quite as spectacular as some, but his longevity and consistency place him amongst the top level of modern day midfielders. If the Hawks lose, the saving grace will be seeing Robert Harvey play the GF in his farewell performance.

Regardless of the result, I think most Hawks fan will wish the Saints well.
