My 3 year old boy was born with a cleft lip and palate and has been through the first 2 operations as well as constant visits to the doctors, dentist, speech therapist etc....

It is great to have a public figure like Mayne as dare I say a "role model" for kids going through this to show that it should not hold anyone back.

Remember seeing him interviewed, noticing the lisp and thinking that what really stood out was his calm confidence and how well spoken he was in what he said rather than how he said it.
