Love Matty McDonough, my new favourite player. A class above most of our list with ball in hand. He just needs to find it a bit more. I like him as our replacement for Newy. Lennon to the forward line and Vlastuin to the middle please Dimma.

Keep him in. Might not be quick enough for a long term back pocket but would rather him in the side than Grigg or Houli. Bring in M Dea into the back pocket and push McD to half back/mid I reckon.

I think he will be a good, average player in the future. I don't see him being elite, but I love the way he plays.

He's probably one of my favourite youngsters. Like the mop!

Really like Matty. For a 19 year old(?) playing his 6th or 7th game, he looks a lot more composed and focused than a lot of the players around him. Has a nice tool set to work with too - really hope he can push further up the ground later in the season (I'm just content with him getting games!).

McDonough is one of my highlights of the season so far. Fantastic kick.

Unlike most others, I'm happy to see him serve an apprenticeship on HB. Good position to learn the about the game, and I like seeing our future mids learning some defensive skills. When we get ripped up on the spread by the Dogs, I think it's clear that our current midfield need to learn something about defending.
