Wanted to mention Dylan McLaren. Whilst he slips up every now and then have been pretty impressed with him of late. Seems to have much passion and determination.

Can take a strong mark and competes very strongly in both spoiling and ground contests. Also seems to have a little bit of hardness which we need. Has anyone else been impressed with him?

Also was very pleased to see Thornton get back to close to his best.

i thought dylans efforts in pushing back hard to help were very good today, have been very happy with him of late, and your spot on with the hardness call:thumbsu:

cant really say anything negative about dylan this season thus far. was/is never going to be a great player, but im really happy with what he has given us. performed admirably today as really the only competent carlton ruckman. also does a good job pushing back to play as a loose man or on a resting ruckman. i really liked him as a player in brisbane and am very pleased we decided to pick him up. yes, he has some doubters being a short ruckman but any criticizm placed on him for his performances this season are unwarranted.

is also a ripper of a bloke off the field.

well done dylan on your season to date. hope to see you finish your career here as an acomplished ruckman.

Right on both scores. McLaren work around the ground has been most impressive and even though he concedes height at the centre bounces he still provides a great contest.

Thornton is back to the form that made him our best defender 2 years ago. His confidence is sky high and he is backing himself to take a mark when in position and his defensive punches are well timed. When you look at the total points kicked against us compared to the other teams outside the 8 we are travelling well and this is due to the great work of the T-Bird and the Red Man.

McLaren's work even at the centre bounces was sensational when he does get a hand to the ball he knocks it straight down thew midfielders throats and when he doesn't he either tackles or gets the clearance himself and his tackling is fantastic 10 tackles is a great effort but then again everyones tackling was great yesterday 76 tackles to Essendons 47 wow, plays with enormous passion and hardness and never shirks the issue, just what we need. Great work Dylan McLaren.:thumbsu:

McLaren is an OK sorta player, but at least gives us more chop than Prenda. I would like that Branby rubble comes back as he's a pretty solid ruckman. Though I would also really like to see Bryan back in the team. It :D:D:D:Ds me we have so many players who have good debuts in in our odd wins and then fade into nothing, you know guys like Bryan, Norman, Davies, DeLuca etc..etc.. I hope this doesn't happen with Kennedy, though he was a higher draft pick than those hacks.

At the moment:

McLaren - No. 1
French - No. 2

Deluca - No. 3 (only to be used when French or McLaren are injured)

Prenda - to stay in the Bullants

Bryan - gets a game if he plays a group of blinders in the Bullants

It shouldn't happen to Kennedy. It was his second game too.

Kennedy pick four, he knows he has the chance to be a superstar of the competition in five years time unlike the blokes you mention.

thought he played a great game tap work was wonderful and what a strong mark he is think brisbane really made a big error letting him go love the way he talks about the club and his desire to become the number one ruckman and stay there :)
