Anyway, lets shift the talk to Hurley from here on in.
Agreed. Yarren is now an opposition player so becomes largely irrelevant.

Who do people think Hurley will line up on against the Doggies? They don't have a conventional forward line. Hahn and Murphy can play as CHF's and Johnson wouldn't be the type for Hurley I believe. Personally I think Welsh could be a good opponent as he isn't a gorilla and would provide an adequate challenge for Hurley. Unsure about Welsh's pace but I think it would be a good match up.

Hahn could be a good match up for Hurley I feel. Would outsize Hahn, but will most probably struggle with the physical side of his game. He'll learn to use his body to advantage a little more if that was the case, but every game this year and in the next few years will be a learning curve.

The side would benefit most in the long run if Hurley lined up on Hahn or Welsh I reckon. That is, the old dogs could teach our young fella new tricks:rolleyes:

It would also be good if he lined up on someone taller like Minson. Skipper's another possibility.

I think the Welsh match up could be the way to go.

Normally Welsh is a bit of a slow starter, if my memory serves me correctly, and would be one of a couple of good match ups.

It's a bit hard to know atm as we have no idea of either team yet.

Wandered over to the Doggies Board to see which players will/won't be available and many of Hurley's possible opponents will not be playing. Anyway all discussion on match ups for the Doggies game can now be moved to the thread I created:thumbsu:
