I would swap him for a donut at this stage, I don't even care what colour it is. And no I'm not some kind of pink donut eater! (I have seen too many Simpsons episodes).

I have no idea why he would want to leave. He didn't get enough opportunities this year because let's face it, he wasn't in good form! Who can he blame for that but himself?

Second round pick?? Medhurst is worth nothing remotely near that! I would offer a pick 45 - 55 for him and that would be it. Besides, why would Geelong need another small forward when we have Ablett, Chapman and Stokes??

Stupid proposal...

I'm assuming you would offer that because you have no clue about him and are basing your opinion on nothing more than a couple of posts you read on bigfooty.

Have a look at his stats at least:

Now tell us he is worth less than a moose pasture pick.

A small forward that has kicked over 50 goals in a season twice and can play out of the square.

Medhurst was great when he was the focal point for goals, Pavlich/McPharlin/Murphy moved down there and he got lost in the shuffle.

What do Geelong have? Kingsley sucks and who else?

He's a leading Midget, Geelong don't need him, Geelong would have ABSOLUTELY no use for him, and he lacks desire to play at the top level.

He's also struggling now, and his flashes of brilliance are now less and less frequent, and in this year, non-existant

You should jump at the offer of a 4th round pick for him.

Ablett, Ottens and Mooney are all better options for goals, we can also push Ablett to the square to kick goals.

Medhurst is Kent Kingsley only shorter.

I'm sorry but those stats don't appeal to me... 12 touches a game (3 a quarter) and 1 goal a game? Nothing too good... If Geelong really needed a small forward, like really desperate, then i'd consider a pick 30 - 35...

Well getting Medhurst ain't going to solve the problem, having him as the focal point will take us nowhere.

Rather save the pick and use it in the draft. He is weak.

draft picks past the top 30 are overated, all your getting is a number you dont know how the player is going to be able to cope with the big league, if you look back on history, 50% of the players who are drafted after pick 30 end up playing less than 5 games. if we could get medhurst with a pick in the late twenties to thirtys i would take it because at least we know he can play in the big league

If that were true, then we'd be stuffed. At least 70% of our team is draft picks below 30. That's the difference between the rich clubs and poor clubs. Money for scouting.

I would take a high second rounder for Medders if he really wanted to leave the club.
