I have no idea but I am going to say he'll play and play well. He is coming back into AA form. If he can just limit his unselfishness, he'll go close to BOG again.

Im no doctor but im sure if he had concussion last week he wont be in this week. Put it this way i have heared he didnt remember kicking the final goal last week and after the game on the ground kept asking the same questions to all of his team mates. not sure of the question but would gather it was "did we win" or something like that.

The concussion issue is one the AFL is yet to address, or any other team sport actually.

In boxing, when you get a concussion (obviously from a knockout), you ar not allowed to fight for another 3 months. But that is a sport that is all about head contact.

The AFL has no set rule or time frame, and leaves it up to the club doctors, who in the past have usually played players the following week after a serious concussion.

I think Medhurst will probably play this week, mainly because of the 8 day break, but I was just wondering who would be held accountable if he got concussion again this week, and it lead to further problems with Medhurst and his head?

I think the AFL has to address this, head high injuries are very serious, and some rule needs to be introduced or at least and AFL individual doctor assesment has to take place before a player can play again.

isnt it weird he was a player that was known for his selfishness at freo. The other night i actually thought to myself , just kick it yourself medders when he went to cross one.

Not that you can really go off at a player for tryin to bring his team into it, but yeah sometimes he is better off having a shot himself. Him and Anthony anywhere inside 50 should have a shot regardless, unless a player is 100 percent free

I agree, they are both great kicks!
I'd rather a player be unselfish than selfish!

I'm really doubting any of you guys haven't heard anything, none of you have even cited any sources!

Richard Reed just reported he hasn't heard anything by the way.

OK wise guys, the AFL and CFC website can be the sources now - Medhurst 'in doubt' due to the concussion but no-one's committing to anything until after training tomorrow.

C'mon Mick, a couple of panadols and tell him he's Tony Lockett and he'll be right :thumbsu:
