Gee, another person in Tardistan talking himself up. I have NEVER seen that before.

Just like I've never seen you talk down disabled people before.

The difference is, the people of Sydney genuinely cared.

:D:D:D:D you're an idiot.

How is your rectangle-field stadium going?

Building starts in two weeks.

How is your Super 14 team faring these days?

We didn't get the contract, either you were attempting ironical humour, or you have no idea, regardless, the Force are going tops aren't they?

How did your team in the A League go?

7th, we didn't buy success.

What sort of crowds is "the Sporting Capital" getting to Melbourne Storm games these days?

Funnily enough, last weekend the Storm attracted more people to their game, than the two other games at the same time that night.

How many teams from Victoria will be in the AFL finals this year?

Well Sydney look like dropping out so someone is going to fill that hole.

Three out of the top 4 are Victorian btw.

PS:- You guys started all this parochial chest-beating. All I'm doing is replying to put you in your place. :thumbsu:

And I'm giving you the facts.

I was at the Wollangabba Hotel in Brisbane before a Swans Lions match. A few people booed when I got in. They were expat Victorians.

And you know that they were Victorian how?

A few of your Sydney based comrades from RWO whom I am friends with I speak to regularly and they love Melbourne, and come down basically once a month, not even for the football.

And before you suggest I hate Sydney, that's not true, I love it.

Man, will you '***** get your facts straight? :thumbsd:

You are called '***** because of a thread of TheWorld Game forum where a guy by the name of Hillbilly called you lot "A **** Factory".

'****' is short for 'Fu/cktard', an expression used quite alot on TWG forum. :thumbsu:

Here is another URL that might prove useful. :D

I enjoy Melbourne too. Why do you think I'm down there every second week to support the Swans.

It is just MVFC (and their immaturity) that sh/it me. :o

Melbourne is a :shizhole. After falling in love with the place and deciding to move down here in feb '05 I now hate the place.

- The sububs apart from Windsor and maybe around Brunswick are old, boring and non inspiring.

- The landscape is flat and dull. The city stands next to a glorified creek bed which they calim is a river but we all know it is a creek.

- The woman are 10 kilos heavier than anywhere esle i have been to in Australia (including brisbane)

- The weather is the only thing going for it in summer but hell the greyness in autum/winter is just so depressing. Now wonder there are so many depressed people in Melbourne!

- There are now more metros in Melbourne than i have seen anywhere else. I thought Sydney had this title all wrapped up, but nah Melbourne is metro city.

- Melbourne people still love and dress up to go to raves. Enough said.

- The transport system is a joke. Trains filled with hoods and no security at all. The other day I was on the train and some poor guy on the next carriage got mugged in broad daylight. No one helped him out. There wasnt even a train conductor on the train.

- The trams are a hassle. Apart from clogging up the roads they cruise in ultra slow speeds and take forever to get too. I thought they were great but the reality of how bad they are hit me as soon as i became a daily user of the things and not just a tourist.

- Seeing a Dr is a hassle. Are there a lot of sick people down here? Everytime i need to see a doc i need to book 2 days in advance.

and the thing that gets me the most..

- The people are arrogant as all feck, for some reason Melbourne people think they are all class when they are far from it. When you tell a melbourne person you are from Sydney watch the reaction. Then they diss the place..but what for it...MOST HAVE NEVER BEEN!!!

- Melbourne people lap up and believe everything the media tells them down here. Its no wonder shows like TT still have over 1 mil viewers a night. And its made in Melbourne..enough said.

- The made in Melbourne tagline. WTF? Who cares! If a program is well made and produced i don't care where it is made. It will not change my perception of the program one iota, but it seems to be an important factor to most Melbourne peoples opinion on the show. If it was made in Sydney then it must be crap!

- Most of the melbourne rivalry is dreamt up by the Melbourne papers. b/c if you go to Sydney and ask someone up there what they think of Melbs most will have nothing but positive praise with the weather being the only real negative.

- Look at this thread, the majority of the dissing towards Sidders is by Melbourne folk and how dare we sydneysiders or even an ex sydneysider dare defend it.

Another thing, Melbourne people are good at stating the obvious! Thanks Champ..did you not read my first line? I loved Melbourne but when i finally started to live here and see the place for what it really is the love of the place turned into loathing it.

I am not saying all Victorians are fwits as i have made fridns with some awesome folk down here, but 75% of melbourninas are a-grade tools.

And i suppose you're moving to Adelaide?

Visited your fair city over the weekend , magnificent. ( great weather too !!)
Architecture is a wonderful sight , the place reeks of history and I find it very easy to find my way about and public transport to where ever we needed to go. Friendly (as a rule) people and magnificent eateries to be found.

Make sure you return to Sydney. I don't think you will be able to enjoy living outside of your city.

Most people think their own region is superior to others, and to them, it is probably true due to the interests they have formed from growing up their.

Anyway, bottomline is, from an outsiders point of view, Melbourne kicks ass over Sydney. Just go home, because you must seem like a nob with that chip on your shoulder.

Cheers Kat, and you are right about Diego. Just wish these bums like Frosties "bend me over (but I'll deny it)" Diego, kept their nose out of Freo's, and Victoria's business!

Like Freo want "AFL Supporters" like this pushing their cause.

Efff off and go home you bum!

ohh diego it's obviously not your cup of tea; you need to find the chill out zone melbourne provides. If i were in melbourne i'd spend a day with you, taking you and showing you the best of melbourne.

Melbourne can be a little off standish but it's good when you find your place :)

ps. I own melbourne :D ;)
