I used to track it through the day because there would already be like $5-$7 million in the pool by now but the totes are absolutely cast these days.

In the old days there would be a million in the win pool already by early Sunday arvo

back in the day i followed this system religously in qld. One day a horse was brought up even money with no form in a maiden on the Brisbane tote so I had a large bet on it, It drifted to 40s on our tote so it was worth a substantial amount, ran all over the place and got beaten on the line. Next start it ran in a Class 3 and won at 70s.. was not on and sick

The other great system was when a little old lady would come up and ask you how to fill out a card on a non melb cup day, Those horses won 100 out 100 times.

First time in living memory have to work MC day.

Going with a bet I always put on after I woke up one MC morning years ago and I could vividly remember a dream where I won heaps of cash on the cup.
The numbers were 4 1 3.

Interesting watching Just Racing now with Ross and Hamish on channel 78 they had an interview with JMac talking about the Cup after his mount was scratched. His top choice was DL but said only if the rain stayed away……. Seriously doubts his effectiveness on a heavy track.

Interesting to see what track conditions we are on tomorrow and we have had a fair bit of rain here today. Not to mention what we cop during the day tomorrow which will chop it up even more.
